1. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
有晚上，有早晨，是第四日。

2. And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them.
收生婆对法老说，因为希伯来妇人与埃及妇人不同，希伯来妇人本是健壮的（原文作活泼的），收生婆还没有到，她们已经生产了。

3. As the LORD commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.
耶和华怎样吩咐摩西，他就怎样在西奈的旷野数点他们。

4. And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which ye saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadeshbarnea.
我们照着耶和华我们神所吩咐的从何烈山起行，经过你们所看见那大而可怕的旷野，往亚摩利人的山地去，到了加低斯巴尼亚。

5. And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.
耶和华与犹大同在，犹大就赶出山地的居民，只是不能赶出平原的居民，因为他们有铁车。

6. So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?
于是二人同行，来到伯利恒。她们到了伯利恒，合城的人就都惊讶。妇女们说，这是拿俄米吗。

7. And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.
次日清早，他们起来，在耶和华面前敬拜，就回拉玛。到了家里，以利加拿和妻哈拿同房，耶和华顾念哈拿，

8. The beauty of Israel is slain upon thy high places: how are the mighty fallen!
歌中说，以色列阿，你尊荣者在山上被杀。大英雄何竟死亡。

9. And he hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the sons of the king, and Abiathar the priest, and Joab the captain of the host: but Solomon thy servant hath he not called.
他宰了许多牛羊，肥犊，请了王的众子和祭司亚比亚他，并元帅约押。惟独王的仆人所罗门，他没有请。

10. And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Joktan.
希伯生了两个儿子，一个名叫法勒（法勒就是分的意思），因为那时人就分地居住。法勒的兄弟名叫约坍。

11. If it please the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered, That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she.
王若以为美，就降旨写在波斯和米底亚人的例中，永不更改，不准瓦实提再到王面前，将她王后的位分赐给比她还好的人。

12. And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
不料，有狂风从旷野刮来，击打房屋的四角，房屋倒塌在少年人身上，他们就都死了。惟有我一人逃脱，来报信给你。

13. So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.
凡贪恋财利的，所行之路，都是如此。这贪恋之心，乃夺去得财者之命。

14. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
你们若甘心听从，必吃地上的美物。

15. And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.
他们要攻击你，却不能胜你。因为我与你同在，要拯救你。这是耶和华说的。

16. I called for my lovers, but they deceived me: my priests and mine elders gave up the ghost in the city, while they sought their meat to relieve their souls.
我招呼我所亲爱的，他们却愚弄我。我的祭司和长老正寻求食物，救性命的时候，就在城中绝气。

17. And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.
活物行走，轮也在旁边行走。活物从地上升，轮也都上升。

18. And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king.
王与他们谈论，见少年人中无一人能比但以理，哈拿尼雅，米沙利，亚撒利雅，所以留他们在王面前侍立。

19. O LORD, to thee will I cry: for the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field.
耶和华阿，我向你求告。因为火烧灭旷野的草场，火焰烧尽田野的树木。

20. And they of the south shall possess the mount of Esau; and they of the plain the Philistines: and they shall possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: and Benjamin shall possess Gilead.
南地的人必得以扫山，高原的人必得非利士地，也得以法莲地，和撒玛利亚地，便雅悯人必得基列。

21. And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.
我就问与我说话的天使说，这是什么意思。他回答说，这是打散犹大，以色列，和耶路撒冷的角。

22. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
他丈夫约瑟是个义人，不愿意明明的羞辱他，想暗暗的把他休了。

23. And when he had gone a little farther thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.
耶稣稍往前走，又见西庇太的儿子雅各，和雅各的兄弟约翰，在船上补网。

24. And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.
天使回答说，我是站在神面前的加百列，奉差而来，对你说话，将这好信息报给你。

25. And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?
约翰所作的见证，记在下面。犹太人从耶路撒冷差祭司和利未人到约翰那里，问他说，你是谁。

26. And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.
住在耶路撒冷的众人都知道这事，所以按着他们那里的话，给那块田起名叫亚革大马，就是血田的意思。

27. Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
神的事情，人所能知道的，原显明在人心里。因为神已经给他们显明。

28. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
就如经上所记，我要灭绝智慧人的智慧，废弃聪明人的聪明。

29. For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.
因为我和西拉，并提摩太，在你们中间所传神的儿子耶稣基督，总没有是而又非的，在他只有一是。

30. But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.
至于别的使徒，除了主的兄弟雅各，我都没有看见。

31. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
并知道他向我们这信的人所显的能力，是何等浩大，

32. For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
因为我知道这事藉着你们的祈祷，和耶稣基督之灵的帮助，终必叫我得救。

33. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
因为父喜欢叫一切的丰盛，在他里面居住。

34. Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
常存信心，和无亏的良心。有人丢弃良心，就在真道上如同船破坏了一般。

35. I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.
我必偿还。这是我保罗亲笔写的。我并不用对你说，连你自己也亏欠于我。

36. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
我亲爱的弟兄们，这是你们所知道的。但你们各人要快快的听，慢慢的说，慢慢的动怒。

37. But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
乃是凭着基督的宝血，如同无瑕疵无玷污的羔羊之血。

38. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
我们并有先知更确的预言，如同灯照在暗处。你们在这预言上留意，直等到天发亮晨星在你们心里出现的时候，才是好的。

39. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
这就是那些引人结党，属乎血气，没有圣灵的人。

40. Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
所以你要把所看见的，和现在的事，并将来必成的事，都写出来。
