1. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
耶和华神使他沉睡，他就睡了。于是取下他的一条肋骨，又把肉合起来。

2. And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.
摩西甘心和那人同住，那人把他的女儿西坡拉给摩西为妻。

3. And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.
他军队被数的，共有三万二千二百名。

4. A people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; but the LORD destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead:
那民众多，身体高大，像亚衲人一样，但耶和华从亚扪人面前除灭他们，亚扪人就得了他们的地，接着居住。

5. And she said, According unto your words, so be it. And she sent them away, and they departed: and she bound the scarlet line in the window.
女人说，照你们的话行吧。于是打发他们去了，又把朱红线绳系在窗户上。

6. I also will not henceforth drive out any from before them of the nations which Joshua left when he died:
所以约书亚死的时候所剩下的各族，我必不再从他们面前赶出，

7. And Ruth the Moabitess said, He said unto me also, Thou shalt keep fast by my young men, until they have ended all my harvest.
摩押女子路得说，他对我说，你要紧随我的仆人拾取麦穗，直等他们收完了我的庄稼。

8. And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD.
耶和华眷顾哈拿，她就怀孕生了三个儿子，两个女儿。那孩子撒母耳在耶和华面前渐渐长大。

9. And Abner said to him, Turn thee aside to thy right hand or to thy left, and lay thee hold on one of the young men, and take thee his armour. But Asahel would not turn aside from following of him.
押尼珥对他说，你或转向左转向右，拿住一个少年人，剥去他的战衣。亚撒黑却不肯转开不追赶他。

10. And she said, Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to Adonijah thy brother to wife.
拔示巴说，求你将书念的女子亚比煞赐给你哥哥亚多尼雅为妻。

11. And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.
他出到水源，将盐倒在水中，说，耶和华如此说，我治好了这水，从此必不再使人死，也不再使地土不生产。

12. And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was threescore years old; and she bare him Segub.
希斯仑正六十岁娶了基列父亲玛吉的女儿，与她同房。玛吉的女儿生了西割。

13. The children of Bethlehem, an hundred twenty and three.
伯利恒人一百二十三名。

14. In those days, while Mordecai sat in the king's gate, two of the king's chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of those which kept the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.
当那时候，末底改坐在朝门，王的太监中有两个守门的，辟探和提列，恼恨亚哈随鲁王，想要下手害他。

15. For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
正直人必在世上居住。完全人必在地上存留。

16. For there is a man whose labour is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in equity; yet to a man that hath not laboured therein shall he leave it for his portion. This also is vanity and a great evil.
因为有人用智慧知识灵巧所劳碌得来的，却要留给未曾劳碌的人为分。这也是虚空，也是大患。

17. To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
到耶和华兴起使地大震动的时候，人好进入磐石洞中，和岩石穴里，躲避耶和华的惊吓，和他威严的荣光。

18. Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
你既是教导别人，还不教导自己吗。你讲说人不可偷窃，自己还偷窃吗。

19. Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me?
然而，我栽你是上等的葡萄树，全然是真种子。你怎吗向我变为外邦葡萄树的坏枝子呢。

20. The young and the old lie on the ground in the streets: my virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword; thou hast slain them in the day of thine anger; thou hast killed, and not pitied.
少年人和老年人都在街上躺卧。我的处女和壮丁都倒在刀下。你发怒的日子杀死他们。你杀了，并不顾惜。

21. And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
他改变时候，日期，废王，立王，将智慧赐与智慧人，将知识赐与聪明人。

22. And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the LORD, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth;
耶和华说，那日我必应允，我必应允天，天必应允地。

23. Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.
地土阿，不要惧怕，要欢喜快乐。因为耶和华行了大事。

24. Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;
你要告诉犹大省长所罗巴伯说，我必震动天地。

25. And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.
约瑟就起来，把小孩子和他母亲带到以色列地去。

26. No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse.
没有人把新布缝在旧衣服上。恐怕所补上的新布，带坏了旧衣服，破的就更大了。

27. And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
满了八天，就给孩子行割礼，与他起名叫耶酥，这就是没有成胎以前，天使所起的名。

28. But he spake of the temple of his body.
但耶稣这话，是以他的身体为殿。

29. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
到那时候，凡求告主名的，就必得救。

30. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
我不废掉神的恩。义若是藉着律法得的，基督就是徒然死了。

31. In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
各（或作全）房靠他联络得合式，渐渐成为主的圣殿。

32. For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.
别人都求自己的事，并不求耶稣基督的事。

33. (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
服从那不可拿，不可尝，不可摸，等类的规条呢。

34. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
人若自洁，脱离卑贱的事，就必作贵重的器皿，成为圣洁，合乎主用，豫备行各样的善事。

35. Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
我们的祖宗亚伯拉罕，把他儿子以撒献在坛上，岂不是因行为称义吗。

36. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
你们蒙恩原是为此。因基督也为你们受过苦，给你们留下榜样，叫你们跟随他的脚踪行。

37. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
他们晓得义路，竟背弃了传给他们的圣命，倒不如不晓得为妙。

38. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
我写信给你们，不是因你们不知道真理，正是因你们知道，并且知道没有虚谎是从真理出来的。

39. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
我曾给他悔改的机会，他却不肯悔改他的淫行。
