1. And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.
他军队被数的，共有五万三千四百名。

2. But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him: for the LORD thy God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into thy hand, as appeareth this day.
但希实本王西宏不容我们从他那里经过。因为耶和华你的神使他心中刚硬，性情顽梗，为要将他交在你手中，像今日一样。

3. Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
因此，耶和华以色列的神说，我曾说，你和你父家必永远行在我面前。现在我却说，决不容你们这样行。因为尊重我的，我必重看他。藐视我的，他必被轻视。

4. And Joab returned from following Abner: and when he had gathered all the people together, there lacked of David's servants nineteen men and Asahel.
约押追赶押尼珥回来，聚集众民，见大卫的仆人中缺少了十九个人和亚撒黑。

5. And Benaiah came to the tabernacle of the LORD, and said unto him, Thus saith the king, Come forth. And he said, Nay; but I will die here. And Benaiah brought the king word again, saying, Thus said Joab, and thus he answered me.
比拿雅来到耶和华的帐幕，对约押说，王吩咐说，你出来吧。他说，我不出去，我要死在这里。比拿雅就去回覆王，说约押如此如此回答我。

6. And the sons of Nadab; Seled, and Appaim: but Seled died without children.
拿答的儿子是西列，亚遍。西列死了没有儿子。

7. The children of Magbish, an hundred fifty and six.
末必人一百五十六名。

8. In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.
我责打你们的儿女是徒然的，他们不受惩治。你们自己的刀吞灭你们的先知，好像残害的狮子。

9. But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.
至于那奥秘的事显明给我，并非因我的智慧胜过一切活人，乃为使王知道梦的讲解和心里的思念。

10. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
在天上地下，我要显出奇事，有血有火，有烟柱。

11. For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
因为我的眼睛已经看见你的救恩。

12. Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
大卫既是先知，又晓得神曾向他起誓，要从他的后裔中，立一位坐在他宝座上。

13. Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.
因他为作基督的工夫，几乎至死，不顾性命，要补足你们供给我不及之处。
