1. Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
耶和华神所造的，惟有蛇比田野一切的活物更狡猾。蛇对女人说，神岂是真说，不许你们吃园中所有树上的果子吗。

2. Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.
摩西牧养他岳父米甸祭司叶忒罗的羊群，一日领羊群往野外去，到了神的山，就是何烈山。

3. And if his oblation be a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offer it of the herd; whether it be a male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the LORD.
人献供物为平安祭（平安或作酬恩下同），若是从牛群中献，无论是公的是母的，必用没有残疾的献在耶和华面前。

4. These also are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the LORD spake with Moses in mount Sinai.
耶和华在西奈山晓谕摩西的日子，亚伦和摩西的后代如下，

5. Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.
以后，我们转回，向巴珊去。巴珊王噩和他的众民都出来，在以得来与我们交战。

6. And Joshua rose early in the morning; and they removed from Shittim, and came to Jordan, he and all the children of Israel, and lodged there before they passed over.
约书亚清早起来，和以色列众人都离开什亭，来到约旦河，就住在那里，等候过河。

7. Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to prove Israel by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan;
耶和华留下这几族，为要试验那不曾知道与迦南争战之事的以色列人，

8. Then Naomi her mother in law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee?
路得的婆婆拿俄米对她说，女儿阿，我不当为你找个安身之处，使你享福吗。

9. And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision.
童子撒母耳在以利面前事奉耶和华。当那些日子，耶和华的言语稀少，不常有默示。

10. Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.
扫罗家和大卫家争战许久。大卫家日见强盛。扫罗家日见衰弱。

11. And Solomon made affinity with Pharaoh king of Egypt, and took Pharaoh's daughter, and brought her into the city of David, until he had made an end of building his own house, and the house of the LORD, and the wall of Jerusalem round about.
所罗门与埃及王法老结亲，娶了法老的女儿为妻，接她进入大卫城，直等到造完了自己的宫和耶和华的殿，并耶路撒冷周围的城墙。

12. Now Jehoram the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned twelve years.
犹大王约沙法十八年，亚哈的儿子约兰在撒马利亚登基作了以色列王十二年。

13. Now these were the sons of David, which were born unto him in Hebron; the firstborn Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; the second Daniel, of Abigail the Carmelitess:
大卫在希伯仑所生的儿子记在下面，长子暗嫩是耶斯列人亚希暖生的。次子但以利是迦密人亚比该生的。

14. Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the Lord appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
所罗门就在耶路撒冷，耶和华向他父大卫显现的摩利亚山上，就是耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾场上，大卫所指定的地方预备好了，开工建造耶和华的殿。

15. And when the seventh month was come, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem.
到了七月，以色列人住在各城，那时他们如同一人，聚集在耶路撒冷。

16. Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Meah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananeel.
那时，大祭司以利亚实，和他的弟兄众祭司，起来建立羊门，分别为圣，安立门扇。又筑城墙到哈米亚楼，直到哈楠业楼，分别为圣。

17. After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were with him.
这事以后，亚哈随鲁王抬举，亚甲族哈米大他的儿子哈曼，使他高升，叫他的爵位超过与他同事的一切臣宰。

18. After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.
此后，约伯开口咒诅自己的生日，说，

19. Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
耶和华阿，我的敌人何其加增。有许多人起来攻击我。

20. My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
我儿，不要忘记我的法则。（或作指教）你心要谨守我的诫命。

21. To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
凡事都有定期，天下万务都有定时。

22. By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
我夜间躺卧在床上，寻梢我心所爱的。我寻梢他，却寻不见。

23. For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water.
主万军之耶和华，从耶路撒冷和犹大，除掉众人所依靠的，所仗赖的，就是所依靠的粮，所仗赖的水。

24. What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?
这样说来，犹太人有什么长处，割礼有什么益处呢。

25. They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, saith the LORD.
有话说，人若休妻，妻离他而去，作了别人的妻，前夫岂能再收回她来。若收回她来，那地岂不是大大玷污了吗。但你和许多亲爱的行邪淫，还可以归向我。这是耶和华说的。

26. I AM the man that hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.
我是因耶和华忿怒的杖，遭遇困苦的人。

27. Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.
他对我说，人子阿，要吃你所得的，要吃这书卷，好去对以色列家讲说。

28. Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.
尼布甲尼撒王造了一个金像，高六十肘，宽六肘，立在巴比伦省杜拉平原。

29. Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.
耶和华对我说，你再去爱一个淫妇，就是她情人所爱的，好像以色列人。虽然偏向别神，喜爱葡萄饼，耶和华还是爱他们。

30. For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
到那日，我使犹大和耶路撒冷被掳之人归回的时候，

31. Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,
以色列人哪，你们全家是我从埃及地领上来的，当听耶和华攻击你们的话。

32. And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,
耶和华的话，第二次临到约拿说，

33. And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?
我说，雅各的首领，以色列家的官长阿，你们要听。你们不当知道公平吗。

34. Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not;
祸哉，这流人血的城，充满谎诈和强暴。抢夺的事，总不止息。

35. A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth.
先知哈巴谷的祷告，调用流离歌。

36. Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city!
这悖逆，污秽，欺压的城，有祸了。

37. And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
天使（原文作他）又指给我看，大祭司约书亚，站在耶和华的使者面前，撒但也站在约书亚的右边，与他作对。

38. Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the LORD, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
万军之耶和华说，我要差遣我的使者，在我前面预备道路。你们所寻求的主，必忽然进入他的殿。立约的使者，就是你们所仰慕的，快要来到。

39. In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
那时，有施洗的约翰出来，在犹太的旷野传道，说，

40. And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.
耶稣又进了会堂。在那里有一个人枯乾了一只手。

41. Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene,
凯撒提庇留在位第十五年，本丢彼拉多作犹太巡抚，希律作加利利分封的王，他兄弟腓力作以土利亚和特拉可尼地方分封的王，吕撒聂作亚比利尼分封的王，

42. There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
有一个法利赛人，名叫尼哥底母，是犹太人的官。

43. Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
申初祷告的时候，彼得，约翰，上圣殿去。

44. And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
弟兄们，我从前对你们说话，不能把你们当作属灵的，只得把你们当作属肉体，在基督里为婴孩的。

45. Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?
我们岂是又举荐自己吗。岂像别人，用人的荐信给你们，或用你们的荐信给人吗。

46. O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
无知的加拉太人哪，耶稣基督钉十字架，已经活画在你们眼前，谁又迷惑了你们呢。

47. For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
因此，我保罗为你们外邦人作了基督耶稣被囚的，替你们祈祷（此句乃照对十四节所加）

48. Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
弟兄们，我还有话说，你们要靠主喜乐。我把这话再写给你们，于我并不为难，于你们却是妥当。

49. If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
所以你们若真与基督一同复活，就当求在上面的事。那里有基督坐在神的右边。

50. Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone;
我们既不能再忍，就愿意独自等在雅典。

51. Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
弟兄们，我还有话说，请你们为我们祷告，好叫主的道理快快行开，得着荣耀，正如在你们中间一样。

52. This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
人若想得监督的职分，就是羡慕善工。这话是可信的。

53. This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
你该知道，末世必有危险的日子来到。

54. Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
你要题醒众人，叫他们顺服作官的，掌权的，遵他的命，豫备行各样的善事。

55. Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
同蒙天召的圣洁弟兄阿，你们应当思想，我们所认为使者，为大祭司的耶稣。

56. My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
我的弟兄们，不要多人作师父，因为晓得我们要受更的判断。

57. Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
你们作妻子的，要顺服自己的丈夫。这样，若有不信从道理的丈夫，他们虽然不听道，也可以因妻子的品行被感化过来。

58. This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
亲爱的兄弟阿，我现在写给你们的是第二封信。这两封都是题醒你们，激发你们诚实的心。

59. Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
你看父赐给我们是何等的慈爱，使我们得称为神的儿女。我们也真是他的儿女。世人所以不认识我们，是因未曾认识他。

60. And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
你要写信给撒狄教会的使者，说，那有神的七灵和七星的，说，我知道你的行为，按名你是活的，其实是死的。
