1. And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.
雅八的兄弟名叫犹八。他是一切弹琴吹箫之人的祖师。

2. And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.
耶和华对摩西说，你回到埃及的时候，要留意将我指示你的一切奇事行在法老面前。但我要使（或作任凭下同）他的心刚硬，他必不容百姓去。

3. And he shall carry forth the bullock without the camp, and burn him as he burned the first bullock: it is a sin offering for the congregation.
他要把牛搬到营外烧了，像烧头一个牛一样，这是会众的赎罪祭。

4. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
耶和华晓谕摩西说，

5. Furthermore the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance:
耶和华又因你们的缘故向我发怒，起誓必不容我过约旦河，也不容我进入耶和华你神所赐你为业的那美地。

6. And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones?
对以色列人说，日后你们的子孙问他们的父亲说，这些石头是什么意思。

7. Then Jael Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died.
西西拉疲乏沉睡。希百的妻雅亿取了帐棚的橛子，手里拿着锤子，轻悄悄地到他旁边，将橛子从他鬓边钉进去，钉入地里。西西拉就死了。

8. And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed,
撒门生波阿斯，波阿斯生俄备得。

9. And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband.
她给孩子起名叫以迦博，说，荣耀离开以色列了。这是因神的约柜被掳去，又因她公公和丈夫都死了。

10. And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
所罗门统管诸国，从大河到非利士地，直到埃及的边界。所罗门在世的日子，这些国都进贡服事他。

11. And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out.
他母亲抱他上了楼，将他放在神人的床上，关上门出来，

12. The sons of Shelah the son of Judah were, Er the father of Lecah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of them that wrought fine linen, of the house of Ashbea,
犹大的儿子是示拉。示拉的儿子是利迦之祖珥，玛利沙之祖拉大，和属亚实比族织细麻布的各家。

13. And the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, made he of gold, and that perfect gold;
灯台上的花和灯盏，并腊剪都是金的，且是纯金的。

14. Give ye now commandment to cause these men to cease, and that this city be not builded, until another commandment shall be given from me.
现在你们要出告示命这些人停工，使这城不得建造，等我降旨。

15. So we laboured in the work: and half of them held the spears from the rising of the morning till the stars appeared.
于是，我们做工，一半拿兵器，从天亮直到星宿出现的时候。

16. Doth not their excellency which is in them go away? they die, even without wisdom.
他帐棚的绳索岂不从中抽出来呢。他死，且是无智慧而死。

17. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
都不可离你的眼目。要存记在你心中。

18. How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?
我看见大旗，听见角声，要到几时呢。

19. Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz; the cup also shall pass through unto thee: thou shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked.
住乌斯地的以东民哪，只管欢喜快乐。苦杯也必传到你那里。你必喝醉，以致露体。

20. Whose leaves were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all; under which the beasts of the field dwelt, and upon whose branches the fowls of the heaven had their habitation:
叶子华美，果子甚多，可作众生的食物。田野的走兽住在其下。天空的飞鸟宿在枝上。

21. And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.
从那里往前走，又看见弟兄二人，就是西庇太的儿子雅各，和他兄弟约翰，同他们的父亲西庇太在船上补网。耶稣就招呼他们。

22. And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
耶稣又对他们说，人拿灯来，岂是放在斗底下，床底下，不放在灯台上吗。

23. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
耶稣对他们说，今天这经应验在你们耳中了。

24. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
耶稣说，妇人，你当信我，时候将到，你们拜父，也不在这山上，也不在耶路撒冷。

25. So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.
官长为百姓的缘故，想不出法子刑罚他们，又恐吓一番，把他们释放了。这是因众人为所行的奇事，都归荣耀与神。

26. And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
且满心相信，神所应许的必能作成。

27. What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?
你们愿意怎吗样呢。是愿意我带着刑杖到你们那里去呢，还是要我存慈爱温柔的心呢。

28. Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
你们这愿意在律法以下的人，请告诉我，你们岂没有听见律法吗。

29. If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
如果你们听过他的道，领了他的教，学了他的真理，

30. Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.
请问在基督耶稣里的各位圣徒安。在我这里的众弟兄都问你们安。

31. Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.
你要赶紧在冬天以前到我这里来。有友布罗，布田，利奴，革老底亚，和众弟兄，都问你安。

32. And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
爱神的，也当爱弟兄，这是我们从神所受的命令。
