第9章旧约 - 撒母耳记上第15节中英文圣经全文

1. And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

2. O LORD God of Israel, thou art righteous: for we remain yet escaped, as it is this day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee because of this.

3. For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.

4. And he brought the people's offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.

5. And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.

6. So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands.

7. And Joshua made peace with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: and the princes of the congregation sware unto them.

8. And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come and put your trust in my shadow: and if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon.

9. Now the LORD had told Samuel in his ear a day before Saul came, saying,

10. And this is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised; for to build the house of the LORD, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.

11. But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your minds, then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.

12. And Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Micah, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;

13. And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of beaten gold went to one target.

14. And gavest them bread from heaven for their hunger, and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promisedst them that they should go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them.

15. For the Jews that were in Shushan gathered themselves together on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and slew three hundred men at Shushan; but on the prey they laid not their hand.

16. Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer, but I would make supplication to my judge.

17. The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.

18. To call passengers who go right on their ways:

19. Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.

20. The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.

21. Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.

22. And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

23. All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.

24. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.

25. The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar.

26. And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.

27. And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.

28. And they did so, and made them all sit down.

29. Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.

30. But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:

31. For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

32. But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.

33. Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

34. And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

35. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.
