1. And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake.
亚伯拉罕又对他说，假若在那里见有四十个怎吗样呢。他说，为这四十个的缘故，我也不作这事。

2. For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
无论什么人，行了其中可憎的一件事，必从民中剪除。

3. Out of all your gifts ye shall offer every heave offering of the LORD, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it.
奉给你们的一切礼物，要从其中将至好的，就是分别为圣的，献给耶和华为举祭。

4. And they called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born unto Israel: howbeit the name of the city was Laish at the first.
照着他们始祖以色列之子但的名字，给那城起名叫但。原先那城名叫拉亿。

5. And Saul was yet the more afraid of David; and Saul became David's enemy continually.
就更怕大卫，常作大卫的仇敌。

6. And the king said, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Ahimaaz answered, When Joab sent the king's servant, and me thy servant, I saw a great tumult, but I knew not what it was.
王问说，少年人押沙龙平安不平安。亚希玛斯回答说，约押打发王的仆人，那时仆人听见众民大声喧哗，却不知道是什么事。

7. And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.
从午后直到献晚祭的时候，他们狂呼乱叫，却没有声音，没有应允的，也没有理会的。

8. Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you out of his hand:
王如此说，你们不要被希西家欺哄了。因他不能救你们脱离我的手。

9. And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and will go to the battle; but put thou on thy robes. So the king of Israel disguised himself; and they went to the battle.
以色列王对约沙法说，我要改装上阵，你可以仍穿王服。于是以色列王改装，他们就上阵去了。

10. For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.
我藉着你冲入敌军，藉着我的神跳过墙垣。

11. Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the LORD is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?
以色列家还说，主的道不公平。以色列家阿，我的道岂不公平吗。你们的道岂不是不公平吗。

12. And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
他的同伴就俯伏央求他，说，宽容我吧，将来我必还清。

13. And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,
耶稣说，我实在告诉你们，人为神的国，撇下房屋，或是妻子，弟兄，父母，儿女，

14. Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against this man?
彼拉多就出来，到他们那里，说，你们告这人是为什么事呢。
