1. And he said, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.
亚伯拉罕说,求主不要动怒,我再说这一次,假若在那里见有十个呢。他说,为这十个的缘故,我也不毁灭那城。

2. And ye shall bear no sin by reason of it, when ye have heaved from it the best of it: neither shall ye pollute the holy things of the children of Israel, lest ye die.
你们从其中将至好的举起,就不至因这物担罪。你们不可亵渎以色列人的圣物,免得死亡。

3. And the king said unto Cushi, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Cushi answered, The enemies of my lord the king, and all that rise against thee to do thee hurt, be as that young man is.
王问古示人说,少年人押沙龙平安不平安。古示人回答说,愿我主我王的仇敌,和一切兴起要杀害你的人,都与那少年人一样。

4. And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.
用这些石头为耶和华的名筑一座坛,在坛的四围挖沟,可容谷种二细亚,

5. Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil olive and of honey, that ye may live, and not die: and hearken not unto Hezekiah, when he persuadeth you, saying, The LORD will deliver us.
等我来领你们到一个地方与你们本地一样,就是有五谷和新酒之地,有粮食和葡萄园之地,有橄榄树和蜂蜜之地,好使你们存活,不至于死。希西家劝导你们,说耶和华必拯救我们;你们不要听他的话。

6. For it came to pass, that, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back again from pursuing him.
车兵长见不是以色列王,就转去不追他了。

7. It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
惟有那以力量束我的腰,使我的行为完全的,他是神。

8. For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
主耶和华说,我不喜悦那死人之死,所以你们当回头而存活。

9. Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:
于是主人叫了他来,对他说,你这恶奴才,你央求我,我就把你所欠的都免了。

10. For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:
他将要被交给外邦人,他们要戏弄他,凌辱他,吐唾沫在他脸上。

11. That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die.
这要应验耶稣所说,自己将要怎样死的话了。
