1. And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.
亚伯拉罕又跑到牛群里,牵了一只又嫩又好的牛犊来,交给仆人,仆人急忙预备好了。

2. Therefore thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priest's office for everything of the altar, and within the vail; and ye shall serve: I have given your priest's office unto you as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
你和你的儿子要为一切属坛和幔子内的事一同守祭司的职任。你们要这样供职。我将祭司的职任给你们当作赏赐事奉我。凡挨近的外人必被治死。

3. A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.
愚昧人的口,自取败坏。他的嘴,是他生命的网罗。

4. And Moses went out to meet his father in law, and did obeisance, and kissed him; and they asked each other of their welfare; and they came into the tent.
摩西迎接他的岳父,向他下拜,与他亲嘴,彼此问安,都进了帐棚。

5. The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
不可露你母亲的下体,羞辱了你父亲。她是你的母亲,不可露她的下体。

6. Then he shall minister in the name of the LORD his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, which stand there before the LORD.
就要奉耶和华他神的名事奉,像他众弟兄利未人侍立在耶和华面前事奉一样。

7. But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them.
利未人在你们中间没有分,因为供耶和华祭司的职任就是他们的产业。迦得支派,流便支派,和玛拿西半支派已经在约旦河东得了地业,就是耶和华仆人摩西所给他们的。

8. Then the five men departed, and came to Laish, and saw the people that were therein, how they dwelt careless, after the manner of the Zidonians, quiet and secure; and there was no magistrate in the land, that might put them to shame in any thing; and they were far from the Zidonians, and had no business with any man.
五人就走了,来到拉亿,见那里的民安居无虑,如同西顿人安居一样。在那地没有人掌权扰乱他们。他们离西顿人也远,与别人没有来往。

9. And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.
众妇女舞蹈唱和,说,扫罗杀死千千,大卫杀死万万。

10. Where the people of Israel were slain before the servants of David, and there was there a great slaughter that day of twenty thousand men.
以色列人败在大卫的仆人面前。那日阵亡的甚多,共有二万人。

11. And as Obadiah was in the way, behold, Elijah met him: and he knew him, and fell on his face, and said, Art thou that my lord Elijah?
俄巴底在路上恰与以利亚相遇,俄巴底认出他来,就俯伏在地,说,你是我主以利亚不是。

12. And the LORD was with him; and he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not.
耶和华与他同在,他无论往何处去尽都亨通。他背叛,不肯事奉亚述王。

13. And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
他夺了哈大利谢臣仆所拿的金盾牌带到耶路撒冷。

14. And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he never prophesied good unto me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
以色列王对约沙法说,还有一个人,是音拉的儿子米该雅。我们可以托他求问耶和华,只是我恨他。因为他指着我所说的预言,不说吉语,常说凶言。约沙法说,王不必这样说。

15. The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
他坚强的脚步必见狭窄。自己的计谋必将他绊倒。

16. Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
那时因他发怒,地就摇撼战抖,山的根基也震动摇撼。

17. In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.
到那时这高大光滑的民,就是从开国以来极其可畏,分地界践踏人的,他们的地有江河分开,他们必将礼物奉给万军之耶和华,就是奉到锡安山,耶和华安置他名的地方。

18. And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment;
未曾亏负人,乃将欠债之人的当头还给他。未曾抢夺人的物件,却将食物给饥饿的人吃,将衣服给赤身的人穿。

19. At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it;
我何时论到一邦或一国说,要拔出,拆毁,毁坏。

20. Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
这世界有祸了,因为将人绊倒。绊倒人的事是免不了的,但那绊倒人的有祸了。

21. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
神的选民,昼夜呼吁他,他纵然为他们忍了多时,岂不终久给他们伸冤吗。

22. Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.
他又问他们说,你们找谁。他们说,找拿撒勒人耶稣。

23. And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man's house, named Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.
于是离开那里,到了一个人的家中,这人名叫提多犹士都,是敬拜神的,他的家靠近会堂。

24. How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
他怎样荣耀自己,怎样奢华,也当叫他照样痛苦悲哀。因他心里说,我坐了皇后的位,并不是寡妇,决不至于悲哀。
