1. But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
他们还没有躺下，所多玛城里各处的人，连老带少，都来围住那房子，

2. Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.
我向埃及人所行的事，你们都看见了，且看见我如鹰将你们背在翅膀上，带来归我。

3. Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the LORD your God.
你们不可偏向虚无的神，也不可为自己铸造神像。我是耶和华你们的神。

4. And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times:
祭司以利亚撒要用指头蘸这牛的血，向会幕前面弹七次。

5. And this is the case of the slayer, which shall flee thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past;
误杀人的逃到那里可以存活，定例乃是这样，凡素无仇恨，无心杀了人的，

6. And Eltolad, and Bethul, and Hormah,
伊利多拉，比土力，何珥玛，

7. And his father in law, the damsel's father, retained him; and he abode with him three days: so they did eat and drink, and lodged there.
那人的岳父，就是女子的父亲，将那人留下住了三天。于是二人一同吃喝，住宿。

8. And Jonathan spake good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him, Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he hath not sinned against thee, and because his works have been to thee-ward very good:
约拿单向他父亲扫罗替大卫说好话，说，王不可得罪王的仆人大卫。因为他未曾得罪你，他所行的都与你大有益处。

9. But the king covered his face, and the king cried with a loud voice, O my son Absalom, O Absalom, my son, my son!
王蒙着脸，大声哭号说，我儿押沙龙阿。押沙龙，我儿，我儿阿。

10. But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.
自己在旷野走了一日的路程，来到一棵罗腾树下（罗腾，小树名，松类。下同），就坐在那里求死，说，耶和华阿，吧了。求你取我的性命，因为我不胜于我的列祖。

11. It may be the LORD thy God will hear all the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living God; and will reprove the words which the LORD thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that are left.
或者耶和华你的神听见拉伯沙基的一切话，就是他主人亚述王打发他来辱骂永生神的话，耶和华你的神听见这话，就发斥责。故此，求你为馀剩的民扬声祷告。

12. Wherefore Hanun took David's servants, and shaved them, and cut off their garments in the midst hard by their buttocks, and sent them away.
哈嫩便将大卫臣仆的胡须剃去一半，又割断他们下半截的衣服，使他们露出下体，打发他们回去。

13. And Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem: and he went out again through the people from Beersheba to mount Ephraim, and brought them back unto the LORD God of their fathers.
约沙法住在耶路撒冷，以后又出巡民间，从别是巴直到以法莲山地，引导民归向耶和华他们列祖的神。

14. And be it indeed that I have erred, mine error remaineth with myself.
果真我有错，这错乃是在我。

15. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
他的量带通遍天下，他的言语传到地极。神在其间为太阳安设帐幕。

16. Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.
财物使朋友增多。但穷人朋友远离。

17. And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.
我必将埃及人交在残忍主的手中。强暴王必辖制他们。这是主万军之耶和华说的。

18. Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;
因为他们和他们列祖，并犹大君王离弃我，将这地方看为平常，在这里向素不认识的别神烧香，又使这地方满了无辜人的血，

19. The nations also heard of him; he was taken in their pit, and they brought him with chains unto the land of Egypt.
列国听见了就把它捉在他们的坑中，用钩子拉到埃及地去。

20. And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
耶稣回答说，那起初造人的，是造男造女，

21. And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
就跑到前头，爬上桑树，要看耶稣，因为耶稣必从那里经过。

22. Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.
彼拉多又出来对众人说，我带他出来见你们，叫你们知道我查不出他有什么罪来。

23. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
保罗说，约翰所行的是悔改的洗，告诉百姓，当信那在他以后要来的，就是耶稣。

24. And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
那二十四位长老与四活物，就俯伏敬拜坐宝座的神，说，阿们，哈利路亚。
