1. And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech's servants had violently taken away.
从前,亚比米勒的仆人霸占了一口水井,亚伯拉罕为这事指责亚比米勒。

2. Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
以烙还烙,以伤还伤,以打还打。

3. And Israel took all these cities: and Israel dwelt in all the cities of the Amorites, in Heshbon, and in all the villages thereof.
以色列人夺取这一切的城邑,也住亚摩利人的城邑,就是希实本与希实本的一切乡村。

4. And out of the half tribe of Manasseh, Tanach with her suburbs, and Gathrimmon with her suburbs; two cities.
又从玛拿西半支派的地业中给了他们他纳和属城的郊野,迦特临门和属城的郊野,共两座城。

5. In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
那时,以色列中没有王,各人任意而行。

6. But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.
(从来没有像亚哈的,因他自卖,行耶和华眼中看为恶的事,受了王后耶洗别的耸动。

7. Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
亚们其馀所行的事都写在犹大列王记上。

8. So David gave to Ornan for the place six hundred shekels of gold by weight.
于是大卫为那块地平了六百舍客勒金子给阿珥楠。

9. And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul, and never eateth with pleasure.
有人至死心中痛苦,终身未尝福乐的滋味。

10. The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.
懒惰人的心愿,将他杀害,因为他手不肯作工。

11. And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity shall have an end,
你这受死伤行恶的以色列王阿,罪孽的尽头到了,受报的日子已到。

12. The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him?
约翰的洗礼是从那里来的。是从天上来的,是从人间来的呢。他们彼此商议说,我们若说从天上来,他必对我们说,这样,你们为什么不信他呢。

13. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
日月星辰要显出异兆。地上的邦国也有困苦。因海中波浪的响声,就慌慌不定。

14. And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
耶稣所行的事,还有许多,若是一一的都写出来,我想所写的书,就是世界也容不下去了。

15. As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.
至于信主的外邦人,我们已经写信拟定,叫他们谨忌那祭偶像之物,和血,并勒死的牲畜,与奸淫。

16. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
城门白昼总不关闭。在那里原没有黑夜。
