1. Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you,
你们不可亵渎我的圣名，我在以色列人中，却要被尊为圣。我是叫你们成圣的耶和华，

2. And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me:
耶和华的使者对他说，你为何这三次打你的驴呢，我出来敌挡你，因你所行的，在我面前偏僻。

3. And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, and the princes, returned from the children of Reuben, and from the children of Gad, out of the land of Gilead, unto the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel, and brought them word again.
祭司以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈与众首领离了流便人，迦得人，从基列地回往迦南地，到了以色列人那里，便将这事回报他们。

4. For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?
除了耶和华，谁是神呢。除了我们的神，谁是磐石呢。

5. And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, Surely it is the king of Israel. And they turned aside to fight against him: and Jehoshaphat cried out.
车兵长看见约沙法，便说，这必是以色列王。就转过去与他争战，约沙法便呼喊。

6. I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
他说，我是亚伯拉罕的神，以撒的神，雅各的神。神不是死人的神，乃是活人的神。

7. But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
但我已经为你们祈求，叫你不至于失了信心。你回头以后，要坚固你的弟兄。
