1. By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.
我要渐渐地将他们从你面前撵出去，等到你的人数加多，承受那地为业。

2. And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
凡这日作什么工的，我必将他从民中除灭。

3. And Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.
巴勒就照巴兰的话行，在每座坛上献一只公牛，一只公羊。

4. Benaiah the Pirathonite, Hiddai of the brooks of Gaash,
比拉顿人比拿雅，迦实溪人希太，

5. And his servants carried him in a chariot dead from Megiddo, and brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his own sepulchre. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and anointed him, and made him king in his father's stead.
他的臣仆用车将他的尸首从米吉多送到耶路撒冷，葬在他自己的坟墓里。国民膏约西亚的儿子约哈斯接续他父亲作王。

6. And to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at even;
每日早晚，站立称谢赞美耶和华，

7. They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine.
就是那流连饮酒，常去寻梢调和酒的人。

8. Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.
耶和华说，那些先知各从邻舍偷窃我的言语，因此我必与他们反对。

9. I will do these things unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, and because thou art polluted with their idols.
人必向你行这些事。因为你随从外邦人行邪淫，被他们的偶像玷污了。

10. And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
若是我们在我们祖宗的时候，必不和他们同流先知的血。

11. Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.
那时，人要向大山说，倒在我们身上。向小山说，遮盖我们。

12. And when it was told me how that the Jews laid wait for the man, I sent straightway to thee, and gave commandment to his accusers also to say before thee what they had against him. Farewell.
后来有人把要害他的计谋告诉我，我就立时解他到你那里去，又吩咐告他的人，在你面前告他。（有古卷在此有愿你平安）
