1. And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.
约珊生了示巴和底但。底但的子孙是亚书利族，利都是族，和利乌米族。

2. And this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass,
所要收的礼物，就是金，银，铜，

3. Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;
六年要耕种田地，也要修理葡萄园，收藏地的出产。

4. And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.
以色列人与巴力毗珥连合，耶和华的怒气就向以色列人发作。

5. Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem vile unto thee.
只可打他四十下，不可过数。若过数，便是轻贱你的弟兄了。

6. Now the name of the man was Nabal; and the name of his wife Abigail: and she was a woman of good understanding, and of a beautiful countenance: but the man was churlish and evil in his doings; and he was of the house of Caleb.
那人名叫拿八，是迦勒族的人。他的妻名叫亚比该，是聪明俊美的妇人。拿八为人刚愎凶恶。

7. And on the ninth day of the fourth month the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.
四月初九日，城里有大饥荒，甚至百姓都没有粮食。

8. Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun; Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the LORD.
耶杜顿的儿子基大利，西利，耶筛亚，哈沙比雅，玛他提雅，示每共六人，都归他们父亲耶杜顿指教，弹琴，唱歌，称谢，颂赞耶和华。

9. Now it came to pass, when the kingdom was established to him, that he slew his servants that had killed the king his father.
国一坚定，就把杀他父王的臣仆杀了，

10. Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?
他的诸军，岂能数算。他的光亮一发，谁不蒙照呢。

11. Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
凡等候你的必不羞愧。惟有那无故行奸诈的，必要羞愧。

12. The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable.
天之高，地之厚，君王之心也测不透。

13. Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.
所以刚强的民，必荣耀你。强暴之国的城，必敬畏你。

14. From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even unto this day, that is the three and twentieth year, the word of the LORD hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.
从犹大王亚们的儿子约西亚十三年直到今日，这二十三年之内，常有耶和华的话临到我。我也对你们传说，就是从早起来传说，只是你们没有听从。

15. And say unto the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity;
说，你们当听主耶和华的话。主耶和华如此说，我的圣所被亵渎，以色列地变荒凉，犹大家被掳掠。那时，你便因这些事说，阿哈。

16. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
愚拙的拿着灯，却不豫备油。

17. And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him.
又央告他，求他的情，将保罗提到耶路撒冷来。他们要在路上埋伏杀害他。
