1. And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I.
以撒年老，眼睛昏花，不能看见，就叫了他大儿子以扫来，说，我儿，以扫说，我在这里。

2. And thou shalt make an altar of shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof shall be three cubits.
你要用皂荚木作坛。这坛要四方的，长五肘，宽五肘，高三肘。

3. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
耶和华对摩西说，

4. Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
属约瑟的儿子玛拿西的各族，有玛拿西的玄孙，玛吉的曾孙，基列的孙子，希弗的儿子西罗非哈的女儿，名叫玛拉，挪阿，曷拉，密迦，得撒。她们前来，

5. And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.
摩西和以色列的众长老吩咐百姓说，你们要遵守我今日所吩咐的一切诫命。

6. And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.
大卫心里说，必有一日我死在扫罗手里，不如逃奔非利士地去。扫罗见我不在以色列的境内，就必绝望，不再寻索我。这样我可以脱离他的手。

7. Now the children of Israel after their number, to wit, the chief fathers and captains of thousands and hundreds, and their officers that served the king in any matter of the courses, which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, of every course were twenty and four thousand.
以色列人的族长，千夫长，百夫长，和官长都分定班次，每班是二万四千人，周年按月轮流，替换出入服事王。

8. Jotham was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Jerushah, the daughter of Zadok.
约坦登基的时候年二十五岁，在耶路撒冷作王十六年，他母亲名叫耶路沙，是撒督的女儿。

9. Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
约伯接着说，

10. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
耶和华是我的亮光，是我的拯救。我还怕谁呢。耶和华是我性命的保障，我还惧谁呢。

11. Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
不要为明日自夸，因为一日要生何事，你尚且不能知道。

12. In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.
到那日，耶和华必用他刚硬有力的大刀，刑罚鳄鱼，就是那快行的蛇，刑罚鳄鱼，就是那曲行的蛇。并杀海中的大鱼。

13. In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
犹大王约西亚的儿子约雅敬（约雅敬是西底家的别名，看第三节）登基的时候，有这话从耶和华临到耶利米说，

14. The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
耶和华的话又临到我说，

15. When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:
到了早晨，众祭司长和民间的长老，大家商议，要治死耶稣。

16. And when it was determined that we should sail into Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners unto one named Julius, a centurion of Augustus' band.
非斯都既然定规了，叫我们坐船往意大利去，便将保罗，和别的囚犯，交给卿营里的一个百夫长，名叫犹流。
