1. And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,
雅各许愿说，神若与我同在，在我所行的路上保佑我，又给我食物吃，衣服穿，

2. And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.
大卫又对他儿子所罗门说，你当刚强壮胆去行。不要惧怕，也不要惊惶。因为耶和华神就是我的神，与你同在。他必不撇下你，也不丢弃你，直到耶和华殿的工作都完毕了。

3. And the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their inclosings.
第四行是水苍玉，红玛瑙，碧玉。这都要镶在金槽中。

4. And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil: three tenth deals shall ye offer for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram;
同献的素祭用调油的细面。为一只公牛要献伊法十分之三。为一只公羊要献伊法十分之二。

5. The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
耶和华因你行恶离弃他，必在你手里所办的一切事上，使咒诅，扰乱，责罚临到你，直到你被毁灭，速速地灭亡。

6. Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore afraid, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night.
扫罗猛然仆倒，挺身在地，因撒母耳的话甚是惧怕。那一昼一夜没有吃什么，就毫无气力。

7. And Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria came unto him, and distressed him, but strengthened him not.
亚述王提革拉毗尼色上来，却没有帮助他，反倒欺凌他。

8. Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding?
智慧从何处来呢。聪明之处在那里呢。

9. A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.
诚实人必多得福，想要急速发财的，不免受罚。

10. For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.
原来床榻短，使人不能舒身。被窝窄，使人不能遮体。

11. Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
耶和华的话临到我说，

12. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
凡我所吩咐你们的，都教训他们遵守，我就常与你们同在，直到世界的末了。

13. For this cause therefore have I called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.
因此，我请你们来见面说话。我原为以色列人所指望的，被这链子捆锁。
