1. And Laban said unto Jacob, Because thou art my brother, shouldest thou therefore serve me for nought? tell me, what shall thy wages be?
拉班对雅各说，你虽是我的骨肉（原文作弟兄），岂可白白地服事我。请告诉我，你要什么为工价。

2. For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.
我们在你面前是客旅，是寄居的，与我们列祖一样。我们在世的日子如影儿，不能长存（或作没有长存的指望）。

3. Thou shalt also take one ram; and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the ram.
你要牵一只公绵羊来，亚伦和他儿子要按手在这羊的头上。

4. And a several tenth deal to each lamb of the fourteen lambs:
为那十四只羊羔，每只要献伊法十分之一。

5. But with him that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day:
凡与我们一同站在耶和华我们神面前的，并今日不在我们这里的人，我也与他们立这约，起这誓。

6. And they gathered their brethren, and sanctified themselves, and came, according to the commandment of the king, by the words of the LORD, to cleanse the house of the LORD.
起来聚集他们的弟兄，洁净自己，照着王的吩咐，耶和华的命令，进去洁净耶和华的殿。

7. I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame.
我为瞎子的眼，瘸子的脚。

8. The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
杖打和责备，能加增智慧。放纵的儿子，使母亲羞愧。

9. Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?
祸哉，那些向耶和华深藏谋略的，又在暗中行事，说，谁看见我们呢。谁知道我们呢。

10. Because ye have said, The LORD hath raised us up prophets in Babylon;
你们说，耶和华在巴比伦为我们兴起先知。

11. It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations: for I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.
必为列国中最低微的，也不再自高于列国之上。我必减少他们，以致不再辖制列国。
