1. I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands.
你向仆人所施的一切慈爱和诚实，我一点也不配得。我先前只拿着我的杖过这约旦河，如今我却成了两队了。

2. Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.
你且由着我，我要向他们发烈怒，将他们灭绝，使你的后裔成为大国。

3. And the LORD's anger was kindled the same time, and he sware, saying,
当日，耶和华的怒气发作，就起誓说，

4. He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.
耶和华遇见他在旷野荒凉野兽吼叫之地，就环绕他，看顾他，保护他，如同保护眼中的瞳人。

5. Thus saith Sennacherib king of Assyria, Whereon do ye trust, that ye abide in the siege in Jerusalem?
亚述王西拿基立如此说，你们倚靠什么，还在耶路撒冷受困呢。

6. Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine opinion.
因此我说，你们要听我言，我也要陈说我的意见。

7. Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
恶人必多受苦楚。唯独倚靠耶和华的，必有慈爱四面环绕他。

8. Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.
无虑的女子阿，再过一年多，必受骚扰。因为无葡萄可摘，无果子（或作禾稼）可收。

9. And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.
我在契上画押，将契封缄，又请见证人来，并用天平将银子平给他。

10. Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall.
我在许多国民和君王面前向你抡我的刀，国民就必因你惊奇，君王也必因你极其恐慌。在你仆倒的日子，他们各人为自己的性命时刻战兢。
