1. And he rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two womenservants, and his eleven sons, and passed over the ford Jabbok.
他夜间起来，带着两个妻子，两个使女，并十一个儿子，都过了雅博渡口，

2. And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they are set on mischief.
亚伦说，求我主不要发烈怒。这百姓专于作恶，是你知道的。

3. And the land be subdued before the LORD: then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless before the LORD, and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before the LORD.
那地被耶和华制伏了，然后你们可以回来，向耶和华和以色列才为无罪，这地也必在耶和华面前归你们为业。

4. For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
因为在我怒中有火烧起，直烧到极深的阴间，把地和地的出产尽都焚烧，山的根基也烧着了。

5. Thus the LORD saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all other, and guided them on every side.
这样，耶和华救希西家和耶路撒冷的居民脱离亚述王西拿基立的手，也脱离一切仇敌的手，又赐他们四境平安。

6. For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.
我不晓得奉承。若奉承，造我的主必快快除灭我。

7. And hast given them this land, which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;
将这地赐给他们，就是你向他们列祖起誓应许赐给他们流奶与蜜之地。

8. Asshur is there and all her company: his graves are about him: all of them slain, fallen by the sword:
亚述和她的众民都在那里，她民的坟墓在她四围。他们都是被杀倒在刀下的。
