1. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
那人说，你的名不要再叫雅各，要叫以色列。因为你与神与人较力，都得了胜。

2. And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.
利未的子孙照摩西的话行了。那一天百姓中被杀的约有三千。

3. So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel:
于是，摩西为他们嘱咐祭司以利亚撒和嫩的儿子约书亚，并以色列众支派的族长，

4. For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.
因为以色列民毫无计谋，心中没有聪明。

5. Storehouses also for the increase of corn, and wine, and oil; and stalls for all manner of beasts, and cotes for flocks.
又建造仓房，收藏五谷，新酒，和油，又为各类牲畜盖棚立圈。

6. Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it:
耶和华如此说，我必将这城交付迦勒底人的手和巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的手，他必攻取这城。

7. Yea, thou shalt be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and shalt lie with them that are slain with the sword.
法老阿，你必在未受割礼的人中败坏，与那些被杀的人一同躺卧。
