1. And the sons of Jacob answered Shechem and Hamor his father deceitfully, and said, because he had defiled Dinah their sister:
雅各的儿子们因为示剑玷污了他们的妹子底拿，就用诡诈的话回答示剑和他父亲哈抹，

2. But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:
却要拆毁他们的祭坛，打碎他们的柱像，砍下他们的木偶。

3. And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:
摩西吩咐以色列人说，这地就是耶和华吩咐拈阄给九个半支派承受为业的。

4. Also they were over the bearers of burdens, and were overseers of all that wrought the work in any manner of service: and of the Levites there were scribes, and officers, and porters.
他们又监管扛抬的人，督催一切作工的。利未人中也有作书记，作司事，作守门的。

5. Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?
谁派他治理地，安定全世界呢。

6. Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
就要禁止舌头不出恶言，嘴唇不说诡诈的话。

7. And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls.
以东的宫殿要长荆棘，保障要长蒺藜和刺草。要作野狗的住处，鸵鸟的居所。

8. Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondmen, saying,
耶和华以色列的神如此说，我将你们的列祖从埃及地为奴之家领出来的时候，与他们立约说，

9. And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.
我必从万民中领出它们，从各国内聚集它们，引导它们归回故土，也必在以色列山上一切溪水旁边，境内一切可居之处牧养它们。
