1. And they said unto them, We cannot do this thing, to give our sister to one that is uncircumcised; for that were a reproach unto us:
对他们说，我们不能把我们的妹子给没有受割礼的人为妻，因为那是我们的羞辱。

2. For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
不可敬拜别神，因为耶和华是忌邪的神，名为忌邪蛇。

3. For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance:
因为流便支派和迦得支派按着宗族受了产业，玛拿西半个支派也受了产业。

4. And when they brought out the money that was brought into the house of the LORD, Hilkiah the priest found a book of the law of the LORD given by Moses.
他们将奉到耶和华殿的银子运出来的时候，祭司希勒家偶然得了摩西所传耶和华的律法书。

5. If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;
他若专心为己，将灵和气收归自己。

6. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
要离恶行善，寻求和睦，一心追赶。

7. The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest.
旷野的走兽，要和豺狼相遇。野山羊，要与伴偶对叫。夜间的怪物，必在那里栖身，自找安歇之处。

8. At the end of seven years let ye go every man his brother an Hebrew, which hath been sold unto thee; and when he hath served thee six years, thou shalt let him go free from thee: but your fathers hearkened not unto me, neither inclined their ear.
你的一个希伯来弟兄若卖给你，服事你六年，到第七年你们各人就要任他自由出去。只是你们列祖不听从我，也不侧耳而听。

9. I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.
我必在美好的草场牧养它们。它们的圈必在以色列高处的山上，它们必在佳美之圈中躺卧，也在以色列山肥美的草场吃草。
