1. And the young man deferred not to do the thing, because he had delight in Jacob's daughter: and he was more honourable than all the house of his father.
那少年人作这事并不迟延，因为他喜爱雅各的女儿。他在他父亲家中也是人最尊重的。

2. All that openeth the matrix is mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, whether ox or sheep, that is male.
凡头生的都是我的，一切牲畜头生的，无论是牛是羊，公的都是我的。

3. And the names of the men are these: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
这些人的名字，犹大支派有耶孚尼的儿子迦勒。

4. And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the law, that he rent his clothes.
王听见律法上的话，就撕裂衣服，

5. How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.
他待王子不徇情面，也不看重富足的过于贫穷的，因为都是他手所造。

6. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
义人多有苦难。但耶和华救他脱离这一切。

7. The princes of Judah, and the princes of Jerusalem, the eunuchs, and the priests, and all the people of the land, which passed between the parts of the calf;
犹大的首领，耶路撒冷的首领，太监，祭司，和国中的众民曾将牛犊劈开，分成两半，从其中经过，在我面前立约。后来又违背我的约，不遵行这约上的话。

8. And as for my flock, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet; and they drink that which ye have fouled with your feet.
至于我的羊，只得吃你们所践踏的，喝你们所搅浑的。
