1. These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.
以上的族长都是以扫的子孙。以扫就是以东。

2. And he made a covering for the tent of rams' skins dyed red, and a covering of badgers' skins above that.
并用染红的公羊皮作罩棚的盖，再用海狗皮作一层罩棚上的顶盖。

3. And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof.
迦勒底人焚烧神的殿，拆毁耶路撒冷的城墙，用火烧了城里的宫殿，毁坏了城里宝贵的器皿。

4. Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.
你的呼求（或作资财），或是你一切的势力，果有灵验，叫你不受患难吗。

5. Where are the gods of Hamath and Arphad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?
哈马和亚珥拔的神在那里呢，西法瓦音的神在那里呢，他们曾救撒玛利亚脱离我的手吗。

6. Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go, hide thee, thou and Jeremiah; and let no man know where ye be.
众首领对巴录说，你和耶利米要去藏起来，不可叫人知道你们在哪里。

7. And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.
我将他们分散在列国，四散在列邦，按他们的行动作为惩罚他们。
