1. These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,
那地原有的居民何利人西珥的子孙记在下面，就是罗坍，朔巴，祭便，亚拿，

2. And he made boards for the tabernacle of shittim wood, standing up.
他用皂荚木作帐幕的竖板。

3. And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:
凡脱离刀剑的，迦勒底王都掳到巴比伦去，作他和他子孙的仆婢，直到波斯国兴起来。

4. Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.
不要切慕黑夜，就是众民在本处被除灭的时候。

5. Who are they among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?
这些国的神，有谁曾救自己的国脱离我的手呢，难到耶和华能救耶路撒冷脱离我的手吗。

6. And they went in to the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe, and told all the words in the ears of the king.
众首领进院见王，却先把书卷存在文士以利沙玛的屋内，以后将这一切话说给王听。

7. And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the LORD, and are gone forth out of his land.
他们到了所去的列国，就使我的圣名被亵渎。因为人谈论他们说，这是耶和华的民，是从耶和华的地出来的。
