1. And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:
以扫是西珥山里以东人的始祖，他的后代记在下面。

2. The length of one curtain was twenty and eight cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: the curtains were all of one size.
每幅幔子长二十八肘，宽四肘，都是一样的尺寸。

3. Neither shall the inheritance remove from one tribe to another tribe; but every one of the tribes of the children of Israel shall keep himself to his own inheritance.
这样，他们的产业就不从这支派归到那支派，因为以色列支派的人要各守各的产业。

4. Jehoiachin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.
约雅斤登基的时候年八岁（列王下二十四章八节作十八岁），在耶路撒冷作王三个月零十天，行耶和华眼中看为恶的事。

5. Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.
他就把他们的作为，和过犯指示他们，叫他们知道有骄傲的行动。

6. For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
因为在你那里，有生命的源头。在你的光中，我们必得见光

7. How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master's servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?
若不然，怎能打败我主臣仆中最小的军长呢。你竟倚靠埃及的战车马兵吗。

8. And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the LORD to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem.
犹大王约西亚的儿子约雅敬第五年九月，耶路撒冷的众民和那从犹大城邑来到耶路撒冷的众民，在耶和华面前宣告禁食的日子，

9. For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown:
看哪，我是帮助你的，也必向你转意，使你得以耕种。
