1. And the sons of Israel came to buy corn among those that came: for the famine was in the land of Canaan.
来籴粮的人中有以色列的儿子们，因为迦南地也有饥荒。

2. I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
我从前风闻有你，现在亲眼看见你。

3. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
我的心哪，你为何忧闷，为何在我里面烦躁。因当仰望神。因他笑脸帮助我，我还要称赞他。

4. Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
创造诸天，铺张穹苍，将地和地所出的一并铺开，赐气息给地上的众人，又赐灵性给行在其上之人的神之和华，他如此说，

5. Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the LORD thy God shall send thee to us.
于是他们对耶利米说，我们若不照耶和华你的神差遣你来说的一切话行，愿耶和华在我们中间作真实诚信的见证。

6. Now the upper chambers were shorter: for the galleries were higher than these, than the lower, and than the middlemost of the building.
圣屋因为楼廊占去些地方，所以上层比中下两层窄些。
