1. And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.
他父亲不从，说，我知道，我儿，我知道。他也必成为一族，也必昌大。只是他的兄弟将来比他还大。他兄弟的后裔要成为多族。

2. Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.
你的后裔也必多如海沙，你腹中所生的也必多如沙粒。他的名在我面前必不剪除，也不灭绝。

3. O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and espy; ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth, and say, What is done?
住亚罗珥的阿，要站在道旁观望，问逃避的男人和逃脱的女人说，是什么事呢。

4. And they that serve the city shall serve it out of all the tribes of Israel.
所有以色列支派中，在城内作工的，都要耕种这地。
