1. Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.
迦得必被敌军追逼，他却要追逼他们的脚跟。

2. He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light.
他仍必归到他历代的祖宗那里，永不见光。

3. For thy waste and thy desolate places, and the land of thy destruction, shall even now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away.
至于你荒废凄凉之处，并你被毁坏之地，现今众民居住必显为太窄。吞灭你的必离你遥远。

4. Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?
仇敌必像狮子从约旦河边的丛林上来，攻击坚固的居所。转眼之间，我要使以东人逃跑，离开这地。谁蒙拣选，我就派谁治理这地。谁能比我呢。谁能给我定规日期呢。有何牧人能在我们面前站立得住呢？
