1. And Joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and Joseph's brethren came, and bowed down themselves before him with their faces to the earth.
当时治理埃及地的是约瑟。粜粮给那地众民的就是他。约瑟的哥哥们来了，脸伏于地，向他下拜。

2. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.
因此我厌恶自己，（自己或作我的言语）在尘土和炉灰中懊悔。

3. O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.
我的神阿，我的心在我里面忧闷。所以我从约旦地，从黑门岭，从米萨山，记念你。

4. I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
我耶和华凭公义召你，必搀扶你的手，保守你，使你作众民的中保，（中保原文作约）作外邦人的光，

5. Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.
我们现在请你到耶和华我们的神面前，他说的无论是好是歹，我们都必听从。我们听从耶和华我们神的话，就可以得福。

6. For they were in three stories, but had not pillars as the pillars of the courts: therefore the building was straitened more than the lowest and the middlemost from the ground.
圣屋有三层，却无柱子，不像外院的屋子有柱子。所以上层比中下两层更窄。
