1. But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
但他的弓仍旧坚硬。他的手健壮敏捷。这是因以色列的牧者，以色列的磐石就是雅各的大能者。

2. Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
勇士抢去的岂能夺回，该掳掠的岂能解救吗。

3. Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail.
大马士革发软，转身逃跑。战兢将她捉住。痛苦忧愁将她抓住，如产难的妇人一样。
