1. Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father's house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father's house.
犹大心里说，恐怕示拉也死，像他两个哥哥一样，就对他儿妇他玛说，你去，在你父亲家里守寡，等我儿子示拉长大。他玛就回去，住在她父亲家里。

2. And for the north side the hangings were an hundred cubits, their pillars were twenty, and their sockets of brass twenty; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver.
北面也有帷子，宽一百肘。帷子的柱子二十根，带卯的铜座二十个，柱子上的钩子和杆子都是用银子作的。

3. And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?
说，你只可到这里，不可越过。你狂傲的浪要到此止住。

4. My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
我的良朋密友，因我的灾病，都躲在旁边站着。我的亲戚本家，也远远的站立。

5. I said, I shall not see the LORD, even the LORD, in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.
我说，我必不得见耶和华，就是在活人之地不见耶和华。我与世上的居民不再见面。

6. So Ebedmelech took the men with him, and went into the house of the king under the treasury, and took thence old cast clouts and old rotten rags, and let them down by cords into the dungeon to Jeremiah.
于是以伯米勒带领这些人同去，进入王宫，到库房以下，从那里取了些碎布和破烂的衣服，用绳子缒下牢狱去到耶利米那里。

7. And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
说，我要上那无城墙的乡村，我要到那安静的民那里，他们都没有城墙，无门，无闩，安然居住。
