1. And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.
约瑟的哥哥们见父亲爱约瑟过于爱他们，就恨约瑟，不与他说和睦的话。

2. And he made staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold.
用皂荚木作两根杠，用金包裹。

3. After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.
随后人听见有雷声轰轰，大发威严，雷电接连不断。

4. Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
又要以耶和华为乐。他就将你心里所求的赐给你。

5. It may be the LORD thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living God, and will reprove the words which the LORD thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is left.
或者耶和华你的神，听见拉伯沙基的话，就是他主人亚述王打发他来辱骂永生神的话。耶和华你的神，听见这话就要发斥责，故此求你为馀剩的民，扬声祷告。

6. Now Jeremiah came in and went out among the people: for they had not put him into prison.
那时耶利米在民中出入，因为他们还没有把他囚在监里。

7. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.
他又对我说，你向这些骸骨发预言说，枯乾的骸骨阿，要听耶和华的话。
