1. And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.
以扫跑来迎接他，将他抱住，又搂着他的颈项，与他亲嘴，两个人就哭了。

2. And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.
百姓听见这凶信就悲哀，也没有人佩戴妆饰。

3. For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the LORD had smitten among them: upon their gods also the LORD executed judgments.
那时，埃及人正葬埋他们的长子，就是耶和华在他们中间所击杀的。耶和华也败坏他们的神。

4. Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.
摩西将律法传给我们，作为雅各会众的产业。

5. Also he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.
在耶和华的殿宇中筑坛耶和华曾指着这殿说，我的名必永远在耶路撒冷。

6. The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
神的灵造我，全能者的气使我得生。

7. For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
因为耶和华的言语正直。凡他所作的，尽都诚实。

8. And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpiller: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.
你们所掳的，必被敛尽，好像蚂蚱吃（原文作敛）尽禾稼。人要蹦在其上，好像蝗虫一样。

9. For thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword;
论到这城中的房屋和犹大王的宫室，就是拆毁为挡敌人高垒和刀剑的，耶和华以色列的神如此说，

10. Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
凡听见角声不受警戒的，刀剑若来除灭了他，他的罪（原文作血）就必归到自己的头上。
