1. Then Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed: and he divided the people that was with him, and the flocks, and herds, and the camels, into two bands;
雅各就甚惧怕，而且愁烦，便把那与他同在的人口和羊群，牛群，骆驼分作两队，

2. And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:
耶和华吩咐摩西说，下去吧，因为你的百姓，就是你从埃及地领出来的，已经败坏了。

3. And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD hath given them?
你们为何使以色列人灰心丧胆，不过去进入耶和华所赐给他们的那地呢，

4. Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.
你当追想上古之日，思念历代之年。问你的父亲，他必指示你。问你的长者，他必告诉你。

5. Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him:
你们当刚强壮胆，不要因亚述王和跟随他的大军恐惧，惊慌。因为与我们同在的，比与他们同在的更大。

6. I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.
我说，年老的当先说话。寿高的当以智慧教训人。

7. Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
你是我藏身之处。你必保佑我脱离苦难，以得救的乐歌，四面环绕我。（细拉）

8. The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.
吝啬人所用的法子是恶的。他图谋恶计，用谎言毁灭谦卑人。穷乏人讲公理的时候，他也是这样行。

9. Behold, Hanameel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall come unto thee, saying, Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is thine to buy it.
你叔叔沙龙的儿子哈拿篾必来见你，说，我在亚拿突的那块地，求你买来。因你买这地是合乎赎回之理。

10. And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.
我将你扑灭的时候，要把天遮蔽，使众星昏暗，以密云遮掩太阳，月亮也不放光。
