1. And the servant said unto him, Peradventure the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land: must I needs bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest?
仆人对他说，倘若女子不肯跟我到这地方来，我必须将你的儿子带回你原出之地吗。

2. And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the LORD.
又打发以色列人中的少年人去献燔祭，又向耶和华献牛为平安祭。

3. And thou shalt take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth deals shall be in one cake.
你要取细面，烤成十二个饼，每饼用面伊法十分之二。

4. How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!
雅各阿，你的帐棚何等华美。以色列阿，你的帐幕何其华丽。

5. When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
新娶妻之人不可从军出征，也不可托他办理什么公事，可以在家清闲一年，使他所娶的妻快活。

6. I sent Moses also and Aaron, and I plagued Egypt, according to that which I did among them: and afterward I brought you out.
我差遣摩西，亚伦，并照我在埃及中所行的降灾与埃及，然后把你们领出来。

7. And it came to pass afterward, that David's heart smote him, because he had cut off Saul's skirt.
随后大卫心中自责，因为割下扫罗的衣襟。

8. And they passed over Jordan, and pitched in Aroer, on the right side of the city that lieth in the midst of the river of Gad, and toward Jazer:
他们过了约旦河，在迦得谷中，城的右边亚罗珥安营，与雅谢相对，

9. Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
约雅敬其馀的事，凡他所行的都写在犹大列王记上。

10. Thus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for the governors of the sanctuary, and governors of the house of God, were of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.
都掣签分立，彼此一样。在圣所和神面前作首领的有以利亚撒的子孙，也有以他玛的子孙。

11. And he gathered together the priests and the Levites, and said to them, Go out unto the cities of Judah, and gather of all Israel money to repair the house of your God from year to year, and see that ye hasten the matter. Howbeit the Levites hastened it not.
便召聚众祭司和利未人，吩咐他们说，你们要往犹大各城去，使以色列众人捐纳银子，每年可以修理你们神的殿。你们要急速办理这事。只是利未人不急速办理。

12. Behold, as wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising betimes for a prey: the wilderness yieldeth food for them and for their children.
这些贫穷人，如同野驴出到旷野，殷勤寻梢食物。他们靠着野地给儿女糊口，

13. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
他必蒙耶和华赐福，又蒙救他的神使他成义。

14. A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.
智慧人大有能力。有知识的人，力上加力。

15. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.
地被其上的居民污秽。因为他们犯了律法，废了律例，背了永约。

16. Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good.
耶和华以色列的神如此说，被掳去的犹大人，就是我打发离开这地到迦勒底人之地去的，我必看顾他们如这好无花果，使他们得好处。

17. Take the choice of the flock, and burn also the bones under it, and make it boil well, and let them seethe the bones of it therein.
取羊群中最好的，将柴堆在锅下，使锅开滚，好把骨头煮在其中。

18. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
因为将来有好些人冒我的名来，说，我是基督，并且要迷惑许多人。

19. And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
妇女们惊怕，将脸伏地。那两个人就对他们说，为什么在死人中找活人呢。

20. For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:
我们看这个人，如同瘟疫一般，是鼓动普天下众犹太人生乱的，又是拿撒勒教党里的一个头目。
