1. And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:
日间，耶和华在云柱中领他们的路，夜间，在火柱中光照他们，使他们日夜都可以行走。

2. But if the priest look on it, and, behold, there be no white hairs therein, and if it be not lower than the skin, but be somewhat dark; then the priest shall shut him up seven days:
祭司若察看，其上没有白毛，也没有洼于皮，乃是发暗，就要将他关锁七天。

3. So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath.
他们上去窥探那地，从寻的旷野到利合，直到哈马口。

4. And all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, which were dukes of Sihon, dwelling in the country.
平原的各城，并亚摩利王西宏的全国。这西宏曾在希实本作王，摩西把他和米甸的族长以未，利金，苏珥，户珥，利巴击杀了。这都是住那地属西宏为首领的。

5. But the angel of the LORD did no more appear to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the LORD.
耶和华的使者不再向玛挪亚和他的妻显现，玛挪亚才知道他是耶和华的使者。

6. Yet they had a file for the mattocks, and for the coulters, and for the forks, and for the axes, and to sharpen the goads.
但有锉可以锉铲，犁，三齿叉，斧子，并赶牛锥。

7. But when king David heard of all these things, he was very wroth.
大卫王听见这事，就甚发怒。

8. And he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee,
他就对那从犹大来的神人说，耶和华如此说，你既违背耶和华的话，不遵守耶和华你神的命令，

9. And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.
有人正葬死人，忽然看见一群人，就把死人抛在以利沙的坟墓里，一碰着以利沙的骸骨，死人就复活，站起来了。

10. But Abijah waxed mighty, and married fourteen wives, and begat twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters.
亚比雅却渐渐强盛，娶妻妾十四个，生了二十二个儿子，十六个女儿。

11. Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge ye about the wall? if ye do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath.
我就警戒他们说，你们为何在城外住宿呢。若再这样，我必下手拿办你们。从此以后，他们在安息日不再来了。

12. Withdraw thine hand far from me: and let not thy dread make me afraid.
就是把你的手缩回，远离我身。又不使你的惊惶威吓我。

13. Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed.
祸患追赶罪人。义人必得善报。

14. But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.
只有旷野的走兽卧在那里。咆哮的兽满了房屋。鸵鸟住在那里。野山羊在那里跳舞。

15. What wilt thou say when he shall punish thee? for thou hast taught them to be captains, and as chief over thee: shall not sorrows take thee, as a woman in travail?
耶和华立你自己所交的朋友为首，辖制你，那时你还有什么话说呢。痛苦岂不将你抓住像产难的妇人吗。

16. Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
我也必撕裂你们下垂的头巾，救我百姓脱离你们的手，不再被猎取，落在你们手中。你们就知道我是耶和华。

17. Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
只因心里没有根，不过是暂时的。及至为道遭了患难，或是受了逼迫，立刻就倒了。

18. And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
那时若有人对你们说，看哪，基督在这里。或说，基督在那里。你们不要信。

19. It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
好比面酵，有妇人拿来藏在三斗面里，直等全团都发起来。

20. When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
耶稣说了这话，心里忧愁，就明说，我实实在在的告诉你们，你们中间有一个人要卖我了。

21. And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.
后来他们求一个王，神就将便雅悯支派中，基士的儿子扫罗，给他们作王四十年。

22. Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
在各样善事上，成全你们，叫你们遵行他的旨意，又藉着耶稣基督在你们心里行他所喜悦的事。愿荣耀归给他，直到永永远远。阿们。
