1. And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
挪亚就同他的妻和儿子,儿妇,都进入方舟,躲避洪水。

2. And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh.
摩西,亚伦与法老说话的时候,摩西八十岁,亚伦八十三岁。

3. As the sin offering is, so is the trespass offering: there is one law for them: the priest that maketh atonement therewith shall have it.
赎罪祭怎样,赎愆祭也是怎样,两个祭是一个条例。献赎愆祭赎罪的祭司要得这祭物。

4. Two wagons and four oxen he gave unto the sons of Gershon, according to their service:
把两辆车,四只牛,照革顺子孙所办的事交给他们,

5. The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:
耶和华专爱你们,拣选你们,并非因你们的人数多于别民,原来你们的人数在万民中是最少的。

6. And Joshua said, Alas, O LORD God, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side Jordan!
约书亚说,哀哉。主耶和华阿,你为什么竟领这百姓过约旦河,将我们交在亚摩利人的手中,使我们灭亡呢。我们不如住在约旦河那边倒好。

7. And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place.
耶和华对基甸说,我要用这舔水的三百人拯救你们,将米甸人交在你手中。其馀的人都可以各归各处去。

8. And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were afraid of the Philistines.
非利士人听见以色列人聚集在米斯巴,非利士的首领就上来要攻击以色列人。以色列人听见,就惧怕非利士人。

9. In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spake I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build ye not me an house of cedar?
凡我同以色列人所走的地方,我何曾向以色列一支派的士师,就是我吩咐牧养我民以色列的说,你们为何不给我建造香柏木的殿宇呢。

10. Then he made a porch for the throne where he might judge, even the porch of judgment: and it was covered with cedar from one side of the floor to the other.
又建造一廊,其中设立审判的座位,这廊从地到顶都用香柏木遮蔽。

11. Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life.
所以,在黄昏的时候他们起来逃跑,撇下帐棚,马,驴,营盘照旧,只顾逃命。

12. And the sons of Bela; Ezbon, and Uzzi, and Uzziel, and Jerimoth, and Iri, five; heads of the house of their fathers, mighty men of valour; and were reckoned by their genealogies twenty and two thousand and thirty and four.
比拉的儿子是以斯本,乌西,乌薛,耶利摩,以利,共五人,都是族长,是大能的勇士。按着家谱计算,他们的子孙共有二万二千零三十四人。

13. Moreover Solomon hallowed the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the brasen altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, and the meat offerings, and the fat.
所罗门因他所造的铜坛容不下燔祭,素祭,和脂油,便将耶和华殿前院子当中分别为圣,在那里献燔祭和平安祭牲的脂油。

14. And there went up some of the children of Israel, and of the priests, and the Levites, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims, unto Jerusalem, in the seventh year of Artaxerxes the king.
亚达薛西王第七年,以色列人,祭司,利未人,歌唱的,守门的,尼提宁,有上耶路撒冷的。

15. Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, I say, of the men of the people of Israel was this;
他们是同着所罗巴伯,耶书亚,尼希米,亚撒利雅,拉米,拿哈玛尼,末底改,必珊,米斯毗列,比革瓦伊,尼宏,巴拿回来的。

16. And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.
王便大怒,起来离开酒席往御园去了。哈曼见王定意要加罪与他,就起来,求王后以斯帖救命。

17. O remember that my life is wind: mine eye shall no more see good.
求你想念我,我的生命不过是一口气。我的眼睛必不再见福乐。

18. So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.
愿众民的会环绕你。愿你从其上归于高位。

19. And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,
见愚昧人内,少年人中,分明有一个无知的少年人,

20. Surely oppression maketh a wise man mad; and a gift destroyeth the heart.
勒索使智慧人变为愚妄。贿赂能败坏人的慧心。

21. This thy stature is like to a palm tree, and thy breasts to clusters of grapes.
你的身量好像棕树。你的两乳如同其上的果子,累累下垂。

22. Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.
所以主耶和华如此说,这所谋的必立不住,也不得成就。

23. Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.
我就使你们在这地方仍然居住,就是我古时所赐给你们列祖的地,直到永远。

24. The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.
境内的居民哪,所定的灾临到你,时候到了,日子近了,乃是哄囔并非在山上欢呼的日子。

25. After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
其后我在夜间的异象中观看,见第四兽甚是可怕,极其强壮,大有力量,有大铁牙,吞吃嚼碎,所剩下的用脚践踏。这兽与前三兽大不相同,头有十角。

26. They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me.
众民也热如火炉,烧灭他们的官长。他们的君王都仆倒而死。他们中间无一人求告我。

27. Thus he shewed me: and, behold, the LORD stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand.
他又指示我一件事。有一道墙是按准绳建筑的,主手拿准绳站在其上。

28. Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
至于我,我要仰望耶和华,要等候那救我的神。我的神必应允我。

29. Should ye not hear the words which the LORD hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?
当耶路撒冷和四围的城邑有居民,正兴盛,南地高原有人居住的时候,耶和华藉从前的先知所宣告的话,你们不当听吗。

30. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
你们祈求,就给你们。寻梢,就寻见。叩门,就给你们开门。

31. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
他们将人的吩咐,当作道理教导人,所以拜我也是枉然。

32. Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.
我也自以为不配去见你,只要你说一句话,我的仆人就必好了。

33. The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.
世人不能恨你们,却是恨我。因为我指证他们所作的事是恶的。

34. And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.
神又说,使他们作奴仆的那国,我要惩罚,以后他们要出来,在这地方事奉我。

35. What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
这样,我们可说什么呢。律法是罪吗。断乎不是。只是非因律法,我就不知何为罪。非律法说,不可起贪心。我就不知何为贪心。

36. For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
我愿意众人像我一样。只是各人领受神的恩赐,一个是这样,一个是那样。

37. And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more.
不但藉着他来,也藉着他从你们所得的安慰,安慰了我们。因他把你们的想念,哀恸,和向我的热心,都告诉了我,叫我更加欢喜。

38. And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
从来位分大的给位分小的祝福,这是驳不倒的理。

39. Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.
西缅支派中有一万二千。利未支派中有一万二千。以萨迦支派中有一万二千。
