1. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
神称光为昼，称暗为夜。有晚上，有早晨，这是头一日。

2. Moreover the brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.
并且户珥的孙子，乌利的儿子比撒列所造的铜坛也在基遍耶和华的会幕前。所罗门和会众都就近坛前。

3. And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already.
凡从雅各而生的，共有七十人。约瑟已经在埃及。

4. And he shall kill the bullock before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall bring the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
他要在耶和华面前宰公牛，亚伦子孙作祭司的，要奉上血，把血洒在会幕门口，坛的周围。

5. And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur.
他们的名字，属流便的，有示丢珥的儿子以利蓿。

6. On this side Jordan, in the land of Moab, began Moses to declare this law, saying,
摩西在约旦河东的摩押地讲律法说，

7. There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
你平生的日子，必无一人能在你面前删立得住。我怎样与摩西同在，也必照样与你同在。我必不撇下你，也不丢弃你。

8. And they found Adonibezek in Bezek: and they fought against him, and they slew the Canaanites and the Perizzites.
又在那里遇见亚多尼比色，与他争战，杀败迦南人和比利洗人。

9. And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman was left of her two sons and her husband.
玛伦和基连二人也死了，剩下拿俄米，没有丈夫，也没有儿子。

10. But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the LORD had shut up her womb.
给哈拿的却是双分，因为他爱哈拿。无奈耶和华不使哈拿生育。

11. And David said unto the young man that told him, How knowest thou that Saul and Jonathan his son be dead?
大卫问报信的少年人说，你怎吗知道扫罗和他儿子约拿单死了呢。

12. Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, I will be king: and he prepared him chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him.
那时，哈及的儿子亚多尼雅自尊，说，我必作王，就为自己预备车辆，马兵，又派五十人在他前头奔走。

13. And when the messengers turned back unto him, he said unto them, Why are ye now turned back?
使者回来见王，王问他们说，你们为什么回来呢。

14. The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
雅弗的儿子是歌篾，玛各，玛代，雅完，土巴，米设，提拉。

15. Then rose up the chief of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, with all them whose spirit God had raised, to go up to build the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem.
于是，犹大和便雅悯的族长，祭司，利未人，就是一切被神激动他心的人，都起来要上耶路撒冷去建造耶和华的殿。

16. And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:
耶和华天上的神，大而可畏的神阿，你向爱你，守你诫命的人守约施慈爱。

17. And when these days were expired, the king made a feast unto all the people that were present in Shushan the palace, both unto great and small, seven days, in the court of the garden of the king's palace;
这日子满了，又为所有住书珊城的大小人民，在御园的院子里设摆筵席七日。

18. And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.
筵宴的日子过了，约伯打发人去叫他们自洁。他清早起来，按着他们众人的数目献燔祭。因为他说，恐怕我儿子犯了罪，心中弃掉神。约伯常常这样行。

19. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
因此当审判的时候，恶人必站立不住，罪人在义人的会中，也是如此。

20. A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
使智慧人听见，增长学问。使聪明人得着智谋。

21. The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose.
日头出来，日头落下，急归所出之地。

22. I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.
耶路撒冷的众女子阿，我虽然黑，却是秀美，如同基达的帐棚，好像所罗门的幔子。

23. Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
你们为什么屡次悖逆，还要受责打吗。你们已经满头疼痛，全心发昏。

24. Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
我未将你造在腹中，我已晓得你。你未出母胎，我已分别你为圣。我已派你作列国的先知。

25. Her adversaries are the chief, her enemies prosper; for the LORD hath afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her children are gone into captivity before the enemy.
她的敌人为首。她的仇敌亨通。因耶和华为她许多的罪过使她受苦。她的孩童被敌人掳去。

26. Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.
又从其中显出四个活物的形像来。他们的形状是这样，有人的形像，

27. And the king appointed them a daily provision of the king's meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king.
王派定将自己所用的膳和所饮的酒，每日赐他们一分，养他们三年。满了三年，好叫他们在王面前侍立。

28. And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.
到那日，我必在耶斯列平原折断以色列的弓。

29. Awake, ye drunkards, and weep; and howl, all ye drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth.
酒醉的人哪，要清醒哭泣。好酒的人哪，都要为甜酒哀号。因为从你们的口中断绝了。

30. I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the LORD.
我必折断大马士革的门闩，剪除亚文平原的居民，和伯伊甸掌权的。亚兰人必被掳到吉珥。这是耶和华说的。

31. If thieves came to thee, if robbers by night, (how art thou cut off!) would they not have stolen till they had enough? if the grapegatherers came to thee, would they not leave some grapes?
盗贼若来在你那里，或强盗夜间而来，（你何竟被剪除）岂不偷窃直到够了呢。摘葡萄的若来到你那里，岂不剩下些葡萄呢。

32. Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.
水手便惧怕，各人哀求自己的神。他们将船上的货物抛在海中，为要使船轻些。约拿已下到底舱，躺卧沉睡。

33. For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?
这都因雅各的罪过，以色列家的罪恶。雅各的罪过在哪里呢。岂不是在撒玛利亚吗。犹大的邱坛在哪里呢，岂不是在耶路撒冷吗。

34. The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
大山因他震动，小山也都消化。大地在他面前突起，世界和住在其间的，也都如此。

35. Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.
耶和华说，你们要向列国中观看，大大惊奇。因为在你们的时候，我行一件事，虽有人告诉你们，你们总是不信。

36. And them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship and that swear by the LORD, and that swear by Malcham;
与那些在房顶上敬拜天上万象的，并那些敬拜耶和华指着他起誓，又指着玛勒堪起誓的，

37. Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
现在万军之耶和华如此说，你们要省察自己的行为。

38. Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?
你们的列祖在哪里呢。那些先知能永远存活吗。

39. And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, The LORD will be magnified from the border of Israel.
你们必亲眼看见，也必说，愿耶和华在以色列境界之外，被尊为大。

40. And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;
撒门从喇合氏生波阿斯。波阿斯从路得氏生俄备得。俄备得生耶西。

41. And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.
犹太全地，和耶路撒冷的人，都出去到约翰那里，承认他们的罪，在约旦河里受他的洗。

42. There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
当犹太王希律的时候，亚比雅班里有一个祭司，名叫撒迦利亚。他妻子是亚伦的后人，名叫伊利莎白。

43. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
光照在黑暗里，黑暗却不接受光。

44. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
约翰是用水施洗。但不多几日，你们要受圣灵的洗。

45. By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
我们从他受了恩惠，并使徒的职分，在万国之中叫人为他的名信服真道。

46. That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;
又因你们在他里面凡事富足，口才知识都全备。

47. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
我们既多受基督的苦楚，就靠基督多得安慰。

48. To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
但愿荣耀归于神直到永永远远。阿们。

49. Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
又因爱我们，就按着自己意旨所喜悦的，豫定我们，藉着耶稣基督得儿子的名分，

50. For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
因为从头一天直到如今，你们是同心合意的兴旺福音。

51. For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
是为那给你们存在天上的盼望。这盼望就是你们从前在福音真理的道上所听见的。

52. For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.
因为我们的福音传到你们那里，不独在乎言语，也在乎权能和圣灵，并充足的信心，正如你们知道我们在你们那里，为你们的缘故是怎样为人。

53. Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
这正是神公义判断的明证。叫你们可算配得神的国，你们就是为这国受苦。

54. Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
但命令的总归就是爱。这爱是从清洁的心，和无亏的良心，无伪的信心，生出来的。

55. When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
想到你心里无伪之信。这信是先在你外祖母罗以，和你母亲友尼基心里的。我深信也在你的心里。

56. For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
我从前留你在克里特，是要你将没有辨完的事都辨整齐了，又照我所吩咐你的，在各城设立长老。

57. Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
因听说你的爱心，并你向主耶稣和众圣徒的信心。（或作因听说你向主耶稣和众圣徒有爱心有信心）

58. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
所有的天使，神从来对那一个说，你是我的儿子，我今日生你。又指着那一个说，我要作他的父，他要作我的子。

59. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
你们中间若有缺少智慧的，应当求那厚赐与众人，也不斥责人的神，主就必赐给他。

60. Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
你们这因信蒙神能力保守的人，必能得着所豫备，到末世要显现的救恩。

61. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
正因这缘故，你们要分外的殷勤。有了信心，又要加上德行。有了德行，又要加上知识。

62. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
神就是光，在他毫无黑暗。这是我们从主所听见，又报给你们的信息。

63. And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
太太阿，我现在劝你，我们大家要彼此相爱。这并不是我写一条新命令给你，乃是我们从起初所受的命令。

64. Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;
亲爱的弟兄阿，凡你向作客旅之弟兄所行的，都是忠心的；

65. I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
从前主救了他的百姓出埃及地，后来就把那些不信的灭绝了。这一切的事，你们虽然都知道，我却仍要题醒你们。

66. And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
并那诚实作见证的，从死里首先复活，为世上君王元首的耶稣基督。有恩惠平安归与你们。他爱我们，用自己的血使我们脱离罪恶。（脱离有古卷作洗去）
