1. And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations;
当暗拉非作示拿王，亚略作以拉撒王，基大老玛作以拦王，提达作戈印王的时候，

2. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
耶和华晓谕摩西说，

4. And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.
当下，全会众大声喧囔。那夜百姓都哭号。

5. Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
你们是耶和华你们神的儿女。不可为死人用刀划身，也不可将额上剃光。

6. And these are the countries which the children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed for inheritance to them.
以色列人在迦南地所得的产业，就是祭司以利亚撒和嫩的儿子约书亚，并以色列各支派的族长所分给他们的，都记在下面，

7. And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines.
参孙下到亭拿，在那里看见一个女子，是非利士人的女儿。

8. Now it came to pass upon a day, that Jonathan the son of Saul said unto the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over to the Philistines' garrison, that is on the other side. But he told not his father.
有一日，扫罗的儿子约拿单对拿他兵器的少年人说，我们不如过到那边，到非利士人的防营那里去。但他没有告诉父亲。

9. Now Joab the son of Zeruiah perceived that the king's heart was toward Absalom.
洗鲁雅的儿子约押，知道王心里想念押沙龙，

10. At that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam fell sick.
那时，耶罗波安的儿子亚比雅病了。

11. In the second year of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel reigned Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah.
以色列王约哈斯的儿子约阿施第二年，犹大王约阿施的儿子亚玛谢登基。

12. Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars, with masons and carpenters, to build him an house.
推罗王希兰将香柏木运到大卫那里，又差遣使者和石匠，木匠给大卫建造宫殿。

13. So Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead. In his days the land was quiet ten years.
亚比雅与他列祖同睡，葬在大卫城里。他儿子亚撒接续他作王。亚撒年间，国中太平十年。

14. Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.
人为妇人所生，日子短少，多有患难。

15. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
愚顽人心里说，没有神。他们都是邪恶，行了可憎恶的事。没有一个人行善。

16. Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
智慧妇人，建立家室。愚妄妇人，亲手拆毁。

17. For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.
耶和华要怜恤雅各，必再捡选以色列，将他们安置在本地。寄居的必与他们联合，紧贴雅各家。

18. The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah concerning the dearth.
耶和华论到乾旱之灾的话临到耶利米，

19. Then came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me.
有几个以色列长老到我这里来，坐在我面前。

20. O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.
以色列阿，你要归向耶和华你的神。你是因自己的罪孽跌倒了。

21. Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
耶和华的日子临近。你的财物，必被抢掠，在你中间分散。

22. At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus,
那时分封的王希律，听见耶稣的名声，

23. After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.
过两天是逾越节，又是除酵节。祭司长和文士，想法子怎吗用诡计捉拿耶稣杀他。

24. And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him.
安息日，耶稣到一个法利赛人的首领家里去吃饭，他们就窥探他。

25. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
你们心里不要忧愁。你们信神，也当信我。

26. And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.
二人在以哥念同进犹太人的会堂，在那里讲的叫犹太人，和希腊人，信的人很多。

27. Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
信心软弱的，你们要接纳，但不要辩论所疑惑的事。

28. Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
你们要追求爱，也要切慕属灵的恩赐，其中更要羡慕的，是作先知讲道。（原文作是说预言下同）

29. And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
我又观看，见羔羊站在锡安山，同他又有十四万四千人，都有他的名，和他父的名，写在额上。
