1. And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!
亚伯拉罕对神说，但愿以实玛利活在你面前。

2. What can David speak more to thee for the honour of thy servant? for thou knowest thy servant.
你加于仆人的尊荣，我还有何言可说呢。因为你知道你的仆人。

3. A man void of understanding striketh hands, and becometh surety in the presence of his friend.
在邻舍面前击掌作保，乃是无知的人。

4. And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:
他登了国位，就要将祭司利未人面前的这律法书，为自己抄录一本，

5. But the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong.
山地也要归你，虽是树林，你也可以砍伐。靠近之地必归你。迦南人虽有铁车，虽是强盛，你也能把他们赶出去。

6. And carry these ten cheeses unto the captain of their thousand, and look how thy brethren fare, and take their pledge.
再拿这十块奶饼，送给他们的千夫长，且问你哥哥们好，向他们要一封信来。

7. Nevertheless a lad saw them, and told Absalom: but they went both of them away quickly, and came to a man's house in Bahurim, which had a well in his court; whither they went down.
然而有一个童子看见他们，就去告诉押沙龙。他们急忙跑到巴户琳某人的家里。那人院中有一口井，他们就下到井里。

8. And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?
妇人对以利亚说，神人哪，我与你何干。你竟到我这里来，使神想念我的罪，以致我的儿子死呢。

9. Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.
所以耶和华向以色列人大大发怒，从自己面前赶出他们，只剩下犹大一个支派。

10. And next him was Jehozabad, and with him an hundred and fourscore thousand ready prepared for the war.
其次是，约萨拔率领预备打仗的十八万。

11. Seeing he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, when, lo, he had given his hand, and hath done all these things, he shall not escape.
他轻看誓言，背弃盟约，已经投降，却又作这一切的事，他必不能逃脱。

12. Let them be confounded that persecute me, but let not me be confounded: let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed: bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.
愿那些逼迫我的蒙羞，却不要使我蒙羞。使他们惊惶，却不要使我惊惶。使灾祸的日子临到他们，以加倍的毁坏毁坏他们。

13. And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
耶稣斥责那鬼，鬼就出来。从此孩子就痊愈了。

14. There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
除了这外族人，再没有别人回来归荣耀与神吗。

15. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
你怎样差我到世上，我也照样差他们到世上。

16. Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.
还有以彼古罗和斯多亚两门的学士，与他争论。有的说，这胡言乱语的要说什么。有的说，他似乎是传说外邦鬼神的。这话是保罗传讲耶稣，与复活的道。

17. And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
你所看见的那女人，就是管辖地上众王的大城。
