1. And all the men of his house, born in the house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.
家里所有的人,无论是在家里生的,是用银子从外人买的,也都一同受了割礼。

2. He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.
寡少言语的有知识。性情温良的有聪明。

3. And the people answered him after this manner, saying, So shall it be done to the man that killeth him.
百姓照先前的话回答他说,有人能杀这非利士人,必如此如此待他。

4. And it came to pass, when David was come to Mahanaim, that Shobi the son of Nahash of Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and Machir the son of Ammiel of Lodebar, and Barzillai the Gileadite of Rogelim,
大卫到了玛哈念,亚扪族的拉巴人拿辖的儿子朔比,罗底巴人亚米利的儿子玛吉,基列的罗基琳人巴西莱,

5. Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry thither one of the priests whom ye brought from thence; and let them go and dwell there, and let him teach them the manner of the God of the land.
亚述王就吩咐说,叫所掳来的祭司回去一个,使他住在那里,将那地之神的规矩指教那些民。

6. Now therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be before thee for ever: for thou blessest, O LORD, and it shall be blessed for ever.
现在你喜悦赐福与仆人的家,可以永存在你面前。耶和华阿,你已经赐福,还要赐福到永远。

7. But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.
你们若不听从我,不以安息日为圣日,仍在安息日担担子,进入耶路撒冷的各门,我必在各门中点火。这火也必烧毁耶路撒冷的宫殿,不能熄灭。

8. Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.
但恐怕触犯他们,(触犯原文作绊倒)你且往海边去钓鱼,把先钓上来的鱼拿起来,开了他的口,必得一块钱,可以拿去给他们,作你我的税银。

9. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
那时候的人又吃又喝,又娶又嫁,到挪亚进方舟的那日,洪水就来,把他们全都灭了。

10. That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
要叫他们寻求神,或者可以揣摩而得,其实他离我们各人不远。
