1. And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
他儿子以实玛利受割礼的时候，年十三岁。

2. A foolish son is a grief to his father, and bitterness to her that bare him.
愚昧子使父亲愁烦，使母亲忧苦。

3. And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father's house free in Israel.
以色列人彼此说，这上来的人你看见了吗。他上来是要向以色列人骂阵。若有能杀他的，王必赏赐他大财，将自己的女儿给他为妻，并在以色列人中免他父家纳粮当差。

4. And Absalom made Amasa captain of the host instead of Joab: which Amasa was a man's son, whose name was Ithra an Israelite, that went in to Abigail the daughter of Nahash, sister to Zeruiah Joab's mother.
押沙龙立亚玛撒作元帅，代替约押。亚玛撒是以实玛利人（又作以色列人）以特拉的儿子。以特拉曾与拿辖的女儿亚比该亲近。这亚比该与约押的母亲洗鲁雅是姊妹。

5. And so it was at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they feared not the LORD: therefore the LORD sent lions among them, which slew some of them.
他们才住那里的时候，不敬畏耶和华，所以耶和华叫狮子进入他们中间，咬死了些人。

6. For thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him an house: therefore thy servant hath found in his heart to pray before thee.
我的神阿，因你启示仆人说，我必为你建立家室，所以仆人大胆在你面前祈祷。

7. Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.
那时就有坐大卫宝座的君王和首领，他们与犹大人，并耶路撒冷的居民，或坐车，或骑马，进入这城的各门，而且这城必存到永远。

8. He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?
彼得说，纳。他进了屋子，耶稣先向他说，西门，你的意思如何。世上的君王，向谁徵收关税丁税。是向自己的儿子呢，是向外人呢。

9. But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
只是他必须先受许多苦，又被这世代弃绝。

10. O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
公义的父阿，世人未曾认识你，我却认识你。这些人也知道你差了我来。

11. Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
也不用人手服事，好像缺少什么，自己倒将生命气息，万物，赐给万人。
