1. And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
神说，不然，你妻子撒拉要给你生一个儿子，你要给他起名叫以撒。我要与他坚定所立的约，作他后裔永远的约。

2. O LORD, for thy servant's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, in making known all these great things.
耶和华阿，你行了这大事，并且显明出来，是因你仆人的缘故，也是照你的心意。

3. He loveth transgression that loveth strife: and he that exalteth his gate seeketh destruction.
喜爱争竞的，是喜爱过犯。高立家门的，乃自取败坏。

4. And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them:
存在他那里，要平生诵读，好学习敬畏耶和华他的神，谨守遵行这律法书上的一切言语和这些律例，

5. Now Saul, and they, and all the men of Israel, were in the valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines.
扫罗与大卫的三个哥哥和以色列众人，在以拉谷与非利士人打仗。

6. And the woman took and spread a covering over the well's mouth, and spread ground corn thereon; and the thing was not known.
那家的妇人用盖盖上井口，又在上头铺上碎麦，事就没有泄漏。

7. And he said unto her, Give me thy son. And he took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into a loft, where he abode, and laid him upon his own bed.
以利亚对她说，把你儿子交给我。以利亚就从妇人怀中将孩子接过来，抱到他所住的楼中，放在自己的床上，

8. Also Judah kept not the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.
犹大人也不遵守耶和华他们神的诫命，随从以色列人所立的条规。

9. These waited on the king, beside those whom the king put in the fenced cities throughout all Judah.
这都是伺候王的，还有王在犹大全地坚固城所安置的不在其内。

10. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, even it will I recompense upon his own head.
所以主耶和华如此说，我指着我的永生起誓，他既轻看指我所起的誓，背弃指我所立的约，我必要使这罪归在他头上。

11. Thus said the LORD unto me; Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by the which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;
耶和华对我如此说，你去站在平民的门口，就是犹大君王出入的门，又站在耶路撒冷的各门口，

12. Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
门徒暗暗的到耶稣跟前说，我们为什么不能赶出那鬼呢。

13. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
就对那人说，起来走吧。你的信救了你。

14. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
我为他们的缘故，自己分别为圣，叫他们也因真理成圣。

15. And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest, is?
他们就把他带到亚略巴古说，你所讲的这新道，我们也可以知道吗。
