1. Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
愚昧人若静默不言，也可算为智慧。闭口不说，也可算为聪明。

2. And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.
大卫的长兄以利押听见大卫与他们所说的话，就向他发怒，说，你下来作什么呢。在旷野的那几只羊，你交托了谁呢。我知道你的骄傲和你心里的恶意，你下来特为要看争战。

3. Brought beds, and basons, and earthen vessels, and wheat, and barley, and flour, and parched corn, and beans, and lentiles, and parched pulse,
带着被，褥，盆，碗，瓦器，小麦，大麦，麦面，炒谷，豆子，红豆，炒豆，

4. Then one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came and dwelt in Bethel, and taught them how they should fear the LORD.
于是有一个从撒马利亚掳去的祭司回来，住在伯特利，指教他们怎样敬畏耶和华。

5. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
又好像罗得的日子。人又吃又喝，又买又卖，又耕种，又盖造。

6. For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
我们生活，动作，存留，都在乎他，就如你们作诗的，有人说，我们也是他所生的。
