1. And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.
他手中拿杖，又在溪中挑选了五块光滑石子，放在袋里，就是牧人带的囊里。手中拿着甩石的机弦，就去迎那非利士人。

2. Howbeit they did not hearken, but they did after their former manner.
他们却不听从，仍照先前的风俗去行。
