1. And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:
大女儿对小女儿说，我们的父亲老了，地上又无人按着世上的常规进到我们这里。

2. Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
不可偏向那些交鬼的和行巫术的，不可求问他们，以致被他们玷污了。我是耶和华你们的神。

3. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.
这些城并属城的村庄就是亚设支派按着宗族所得的地业。

4. And Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim, and went over Jordan with the king, to conduct him over Jordan.
基列人巴西莱从罗基琳下来，要送王过约旦河，就与王一同过了约旦河。

5. For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.
必有馀剩的民从耶路撒冷而出。必有逃脱的人从锡安山而来。耶和华的热心必成就这事。

6. And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.
有人问为什么解他，你们就说，主要用他。

7. The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
犹太人因这日是豫备日，又因那安息日是个大日，就求彼拉多叫人打断他们的腿，把他们拿去，免得尸首当安息日留在十字架上。

8. And certain of the chief of Asia, which were his friends, sent unto him, desiring him that he would not adventure himself into the theatre.
还有亚细亚几位首领，是保罗的朋友，打发人来劝他，不要冒险到戏园里去。
