1. He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,
耶和华不容什么人欺负他们,为他们的缘故责备君王,

2. And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.
他们每日早晨,按着各人的饭量收取,日头一发热,就消化了。

3. And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:
两手按在羊头上,承认以色列人诸般的罪孽过犯,就是他们一切的罪愆,把这罪都归在羊的头上,藉着所派之人的手,送到旷野去。

4. Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.
你们离开这会众,我好在转眼之间把他们灭绝。

5. Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the altar of the LORD thy God, which thou shalt make thee.
你为耶和华你的神筑坛,不可在坛旁栽什么树木作为木偶。

6. But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.
非利士人将他拿住,剜了他的眼睛,带他下到迦萨,用铜链拘索他。他就在监里推磨。

7. And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer.
大卫到了扫罗那里,就侍立在扫罗面前。扫罗甚喜爱他,他就作了扫罗拿兵器的人。

8. And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father's concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong.
亚希多弗对押沙龙说,你父所留下看守宫殿的妃嫔,你可以与她们亲近。以色列众人听见你父亲憎恶你,凡归顺你人的手就更坚强。

9. Then were the people of Israel divided into two parts: half of the people followed Tibni the son of Ginath, to make him king; and half followed Omri.
那时,以色列民分为两半,一半随从基纳的儿子提比尼,要立他作王。一半随从暗利。

10. O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbour!
愿人得与神辩白,如同人与朋友辩白一样。

11. The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.
心中有智慧,必称为通达人。嘴中的甜言,加增人的学问。

12. Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The LORD.
耶和华说,我要使他们知道,就是这一次使他们知道我的手和我的能力。他们就知道我的名是耶和华了。

13. That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?
你行淫乱岂是小事,竟将我的儿女杀了,使他们经火归与他吗。

14. From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
从此耶稣才指示门徒,他必须上耶路撒冷去,受长老祭司长文士许多的苦,并且被杀,第三日复活。

15. And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
要得财主桌子上掉下来的零碎充饥。并且狗来舔他的疮。

16. A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
妇人生产的时候,就忧愁,因为他的时候到了。既生了孩子,就不再记念那苦楚,因为欢喜世上生了一个人。

17. And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans.
传我们罗马人所不可受,不可行的规矩。

18. Timotheus my workfellow, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen, salute you.
与我同工的提摩太,和我的亲属路求,耶孙,所西巴德,问你们安。

19. The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand.
我保罗亲笔问安。

20. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
又有大雹子从天落在人身上,每一个约重一他连得。(一他连得约有九十斤)为这雹子的灾极大,人就亵渎神。
