1. But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.
倘若耶和华创作一件新事，使地开口，把他们和一切属他们的都吞下去，叫他们活活地坠落阴间，你们就明白这些人是藐视耶和华了。

2. Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.
全地要在他面前山抖，世界也坚定不得动摇。

3. So the people rested on the seventh day.
于是百姓第七天安息了。

4. For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.
因在这日要为你们赎罪，使你们洁净。你们要在耶和华面前得以洁净，脱尽一切的罪愆。

5. And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.
说，我情愿与非利士人同死。就尽力屈身，房子倒塌，压住首领和房内的众人。这样，参孙死时所杀的人，比活着所杀的还多。

6. And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD above all that were before him.
暗利的儿子亚哈行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，比他以前的列王更甚，

7. He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass.
眼目紧合的，图谋乖僻，嘴唇紧闭的，成就邪恶。

8. How weak is thine heart, saith the LORD GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an imperious whorish woman;
主耶和华说，你行这一切事，都是不知羞耻妓女所行的，可见你的心是何等懦弱。

9. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
他说，我祖亚伯拉罕哪，不是的。若有一个从死里复活的，到他们那里去的，他们必要悔改。

10. Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
现在我们晓得你凡事都知道，也不用人问你。因此我们信你是从神出来的。

11. And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
又领他们出来说，二位先生，我当怎样行才能得救。
