1. Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.
起来,把童子抱在怀中(怀原文作手),我必使他的后裔成为大国。

2. And if men strive together, and one smite another with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keepeth his bed:
人若彼此相争,这个用石头或是拳头打那个,尚且不至于死,不过躺卧在床,

3. For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,
因为凡有残疾的,无论是瞎眼的,瘸腿的,塌鼻子的,肢体有馀的,

4. The princes digged the well, the nobles of the people digged it, by the direction of the lawgiver, with their staves. And from the wilderness they went to Mattanah:
这井是首领和民中的尊贵人用圭用杖所挖所掘的。以色列人从旷野往玛他拿去,

5. If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them:
人若有顽梗悖逆的儿子,不听从父母的话,他们虽惩治他,他仍不听从,

6. Anathoth with her suburbs, and Almon with her suburbs; four cities.
亚拿突和属城的郊野,亚勒们和属城的郊野,共四座城。

7. Howbeit we may not give them wives of our daughters: for the children of Israel have sworn, saying, Cursed be he that giveth a wife to Benjamin.
只是我们不能将自己的女儿给他们为妻。因为以色列人曾起誓说,有将女儿给便雅悯人为妻的,必受咒诅。

8. And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant.
后来,以色列人在歌伯与非利士人打仗,户沙人西比该杀了伟人的一个儿子撒弗。

9. Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to possess it.
你起来,去见住撒马利亚的以色列王亚哈,他下去要得拿伯的葡萄园,现今正在那园里。

10. And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza: and Amon his son reigned in his stead.
玛拿西与他列祖同睡,葬在自己宫院乌撒的园内。他儿子亚们接续他作王。

11. Then the angel of the LORD commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up, and set up an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
耶和华的使者吩咐迦得去告诉大卫,叫他上去,在耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾场上为耶和华筑一座坛。

12. And after all this the LORD smote him in his bowels with an incurable disease.
这些事以后,耶和华使约兰的肠子患不能医治的病。

13. They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.
他们何尝像风前的碎秸,如暴风刮去的糠秕呢。

14. The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the upright.
恶人作了义人的赎价。奸诈人代替正直人。

15. The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying,
耶和华的话又临到我说,

16. Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.
早晨回城的时候,他饿了。

17. But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
然而你们连一根头发,也必不损坏。

18. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
我实实在在的告诉你,你年少的时候,自己束上带子,随意往来,但年老的时候,你要伸手来,别人要把你束上,带你到不愿意去的地方。

19. And the day following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present.
第二天,保罗同我们去见雅各。长老们也都在那里。

20. And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
墙是碧玉造的。城是精金的,如同明净的玻璃。
